Swollen lymph nodes. It started out with only one behind his ear. Then it went down a little and then got bigger again. Soon, there were a small cluster of them. Blood work was normal when it first appeared. 6 weeks later a biopsy confirmed he had leukemia. Parents may notice some lumps below your child's jaw, down the sides of the neck, in the back of the neck. So what are they and should we be concern? These lumps are called lymph nodes. They are common and can easily be felt on children's necks as compared to adults since they have less fat around that area. These bean-like 🫘 structures are part of the immune system that help get rid of unwanted germs in the body. They become larger whenever there is an infection ( Common cold, the Flu or Sore Throats ) . These swellings are usually temporary and are mostly harmless. Rarely swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of a more serious condition like cancer. When you should bring your child to see a doctor : ✅ Persistent swelling : Lymph nodes that remain enlarge for more than a few weeks. ✅ Large lymph nodes : Lymph nodes that are 2 cm of larger. ✅ Rapid growth : Nodes that grow quickly and are larger than expected ✅ Pain : Significant pain can mean the lymph nodes may become infected. ✅ Redness : Redness in the skin over the lymph node may be a sign that it may be an abscess and may need drainage. ✅ Appearance : Hard, non-movable or irregularly shaped lymph nodes. ✅ Other symptoms : Persistent fever, night sweats, loss of appetite , loss of weight , fatigue . Your doctor may order some blood test and may even suggest for a biopsy if there is any worrying features and cause of concern.

If your ears constantly feel full, muffled, or like they need to pop, stop holding your nose and blowing—you're likely just creating more irritation. In the video, I’m showing the High-Grab Pop: By grabbing high on the ear and giving a quick, gentle downward pull, you create a rapid pressure change that provides instant relief. But if you have stubborn fluid trapped behind the eardrum (Eustachian tube dysfunction), you need the Low-Grab Stretch: 1️⃣ Grab low on the earlobe. 2️⃣ Pull down and hold a sustained stretch. Why does this work? The sustained stretch releases the surrounding fascia and soft tissue, physically opening up the Eustachian tube so that trapped fluid can finally drain out through your lymphatic system. Save this for allergy season 🤧 or your next flight ✈️, and let me know in the comments if you get the pop or the drain! 👇 #EustachianTubeDysfunction #CloggedEars #EarPressureRelief #LymphaticDrainage #FasciaRelease

1. Ear fullness is a symptom, not a diagnosis, so it’s important to find the underlying cause. 2. The most common cause is Eustachian tube dysfunction, where pressure isn’t equalized properly between the ear and the outside environment. 3. Allergies and sinus inflammation causing congestion can block your Eustachian tube and create that “plugged” sensation. 4. Earwax buildup can physically block your ear canal and mimic pressure or fullness. 5. Fluid behind your eardrum (middle ear effusion) can occur even without infection and cause fullness and muffled hearing. 6. Sudden ear fullness with hearing loss could be sudden sensorineural hearing loss and that is a medical emergency that needs urgent treatment. 7. Changes in altitude (flying, driving in mountains) can trigger ear fullness due to rapid pressure shifts. 8. TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorders) can refer pressure or fullness to the ear, even when the ear itself is normal. 9. Inner ear conditions like Ménière’s disease can cause fullness along with vertigo, tinnitus, and fluctuating hearing loss. 10. If ear fullness persists, worsens, or is one-sided, it should be evaluated to rule out more serious causes such as including masses or nerve-related conditions. #drnosebest #earnosethroat #healthandwellness

✨ PALPATION ✨ How do you know what your normal is if you never touch yourself? How can you find a baseline and be vigilant if you don’t poke and feel your lymph nodes? Start practicing your palpating techniques and assess every regional lymph node cluster in your body at LEAST once a month. That’s neck, armpits, and groin! Flat palm, two fingers, tap dance…whatever! There’s no wrong way when you keep the pressure light and try not to get down to the muscle or bone. That’s too deep. 😉 What do lymph nodes feel like? • Soft peas OR… • Hard peas Can be: • Tender to the touch OR… • Painless If you’ve got a node you’ve been eyeballing for weeks (maybe even months) and it is accompanied by fever, night sweats, and sudden weight loss, you should go get it checked out. If it’s not but you just want some peace of mind go get it checked out! No wrong answers here. Swollen lymph nodes are common (very common) and they’re always trying to tell us something but we shouldn’t panic immediately! Trust me, they usually go away with a little self care. I hope this tutorial reminds you to be a good listener. 💕 Note: this is not a breast exam but definitely add this into your exam routine. Not doing monthly self breast exams? I just have one question for you. Why the hell not? Touch yourself dammit! 👏

Lymph nodes or Swollen glands are usually a sign the body is fighting an infection. Swollen glands caused by an infection will usually get better by themselves within 1 to 2 weeks. Here is when you should see your doctor about them for further assessment: 1) They are getting bigger and not gone down within a couple of weeks 2) You have no signs of infection or illness and they are raised 3)you’re having night sweats or have a very high temperature 4) Weight loss 5) Your glands feel hard and do not move when you press them . . . . . #drnomzzy #lymphnode #infection #skin #dermatologytips #health #healthtips #doctor #medicine #cellulitis

Comment “Lymph” for a 10% off link to the Lymph Care Tincture 🙌 Swollen lymph under the ear isn’t random. It’s a traffic jam. Open the exits first, making room for it to flow! And then expect the upper nodes to move. This is how lymphatic flow actually works. And everything is going back to your chest. From your toes, to your fingertips to your nose. All primarrily going in in the direction towards your chest. As a bonus, certain herbs can be used as supportive tools that help the body maintain healthy lymph movement by supporting fluid balance, tissue hydration, and normal drainage pathways connected to the liver and kidneys. Just like the herbal blend found in the Burch Bear Lymph Care tincture! #lymphaticsupport #holistichealthtips #detoxeducation #inflammationrelief #naturalwellness

There was one biggie…😵‍💫 There were multiple symptoms of toxicity that I had alongside with swollen lymph nodes before my stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis in 2008. I chose a 3-month trial of a detox, diet and lifestyle change protocol before I considered any conventional treatment and my cancer went away on its own without any pharmaceutical intervention or radiation. This was labeled "spontaneous remission" in my medical records even though I made drastic changes to heal. I know this isn't everyone's story, but it was mine. ♥️ ✨ Comment PLAN to grab my brand new, free non-toxic cancer protocol guide + anti-cancer grocery list and habit checklist printables! 🤩 📣 Here are a few signs I wish I had recognized beforehand… 1️⃣ Chronic constipation: Months before my diagnosis I had trouble having regular BMs. I had no idea that my chronic gas was directly related to my highly processed food and low fiber diet. No doctor said a thing. My body was screaming to detox and eliminate. 💪 For you: Make sure you get your pipes flowing everyday! 2️⃣ A chronic swollen lymph node. The "primary location" or where the cancer first showed up physically was in a swollen, walnut size lymph node in my neck that had been there for 4 years! I had it examined through MRI 4 years prior to my PET scan diagnosis and they said it was just a swollen lymph node and to keep an eye on it. 💪 For you: Stop worrying about any concern or lump/bump you may have and get it checked out. Always opt for an excisional biopsy over a needle biopsy! 3️⃣ Acne-prone skin: Years of toxic diet and beauty products left my skin acne prone even in my mid-twenties. 💪 Clean up your diet and see how you're skin clears up. It's a sign everything else is clearing up inside! #cancersurvivor #cancerawareness #cancer
