Big movement doesn’t fix traffic jams. Qi gong. Heel drops. Shaking. Vibration plates. Rebounding. All AMAZING for lymph flow. 👏🏼 But here’s the problem most people miss… If your choke points are congested, you’re just pushing more fluid into a backed-up system. Your lymph doesn’t have a heart. It depends on pressure changes and muscle movement to move. When you bounce or shake, you’re increasing pressure gradients and mechanically accelerating lymph flow. But if the main drainage pathways are sluggish? You create more pressure upstream. Think of it like: 🚰 Turning the faucet on full blast …when the drain is partially clogged. That’s why I always say: 👉 Clear the Specific 7 first. • Termini • Tonsillar • Apical • Arm pit • Cisterna chyli • Groin • Knee These are high-traffic intersections. When they’re open, everything downstream moves smoother. Research shows lymph flow increases with skeletal muscle contraction and oscillation-based movement. But flow requires patency of the vessels and functional drainage pathways. Movement helps propulsion it doesn’t fix obstruction. So here’s your order: 1️⃣ Open the choke points (slow, intentional, ~1 pump per second) 2️⃣ THEN bounce, shake, heel drop, or qi gong 3️⃣ Finish by re-clearing your termini Open the drain. After a long-haul flight ✈️ my skin tends to get dry and lacklustre, not to mention the fact that I am susceptible to puffiness in my face and have to be mindful of this throughout the year, especially when travelling 💼. One thing I cannot live without is my lymphatic drainage face roller which supports the flow of lymph through the face and neck; you only need a very gentle pressure but it really helps to improve circulation and drainage whilst maintaining facial definition and acting against puffiness or fluid retention. I’m also showcasing a little on my morning skincare routine at present which involves using the @espaskincare optimal skin pro cleanser which works as a cleanser, exfoliant and mask, helping to boost radiance and hydration 💦of the skin, which is great for me as my skin is super dry after a long haul flight. Once I’ve used the cleanser I use their optimal skin pro serum which is a hydrating base before I go in with my SPF 🧴(always factor 50 - especially in the Mexican 🇲🇽 sun ☀️ of course!) and then make up on top, if I’m applying it. Dry Brushing Tip: Use short strokes around your armpit areas to really give that area some extra love! ✨✨✨ I’m back with another Transformational Tool Tuesday and we’re continuing on our dry brushing journey since so many of you had questions from last week! We’re focusing on some upper body tips today. There are so many little areas we often forget about when doing self care. ✋🏼Our hands can be one of them, and dry brushing is a great way to invigorate your skin and muscles in your hands using the dry brush. I like to brush the top of my hands as well as the palms in short little stokes. I recommend dry brushing about 3 times a week. It’s a great way to promote lymphatic flow, but it’s not the only way! This oozing underskin estuary is the basic goop from which all body parts are suspended in a hydration soup. This critical unifying moist zone is called the interstitium.
