This is what a cancer-filled lymph node looks like. It was a typical August day in 2011 and I absentmindedly touched what I thought was my collarbone... felt this weird lump… within three weeks, a biopsy confirmed it was cancer. That’s how quickly life can take a turn. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma resulting in 4 months of chemotherapy and another month of daily radiation. Life sucked for a while. But here I am. 14 years and counting. #earlydetectionsaveslives #knowyourbody #getcheckedout #cancersucks #cancersurvivor #hodgkinslymphoma #hodgkinslymphomasurvivor #september #hodgkinslymphomaawareness #bloodcancer #bloodcancerawareness

Swollen lymph nodes in children. Many parents are very concerned when they notice these lumps on their child's neck. They often worry about the worst case scenario : Cancer ! 🫨😲😱 The good news is the MAJORITY of enlarged lymph nodes is a sign that your child is just having a normal immune system and nothing more. 😊👍 Lymph nodes part of our immune system to help fight infections in our body. When your child is sick, antibodies are produced inside the lymph nodes and they can become larger. Once the infection is over, they will shrink back to its original size ( most of the time anyway ). Lymph nodes are more obvious in children because it is generally larger (relatively) in children and also children have less fat. Important tips : ✅ Lymph nodes below 2 cm in children are normal especially when they are swollen. Their baseline size should be around 0.5-1cm. ✅ Lymph nodes that move around under your fingers, is nice and round and feels rubbery (like a jelly bean) it is a good sign. If it's fixed in a place, feels hard ( like a peanut 🥜) or irregularly shaped, you should bring them to see a doctor. ✅ It is not unusual to find enlarge nodes on the neck as upper respiratory (ear, nose and throat) infections are very common. Not to mention even having eczema also can cause swollen lymph nodes. ✅ Most lymph nodes can start enlarge for up to 1 month. Anything longer you should bring your child to get it evaluated. ✅ If it not uncommon for the lymph node to feel a little painful during an infection as it can become inflamed. If it's very painful, red and warm, then you should bring your child to see a doctor. ⚠️⚠️ If your child has any of these red flag symptoms you should bring them to see a paediatrician urgently 1️⃣ Weight loss 2️⃣ Fever for more than 1 week 3️⃣ Night sweats 4️⃣ Excessive fatigue 5️⃣ Unexplained bruises 6️⃣ Lymph node rapidly increasing in size Most of the time we just need to monitor closely. Sometimes your doctor may order some blood work or imaging ( ultrasound or chest X ray ). If you are concerned just get it checked with your doctor Hope this write up helps 😊😊😊

My health anxiety is fairly non existent except when it comes to my 🫀however, I found a swollen lymph node and well…. I have a smidge of anxiety. Using my nursing brain and NOT my overthinking brain, I had to share this: 📌 Swollen Lymph Nodes After Illness (remember: I had pnuemonia) After an illness, your lymph nodes may stay swollen for a while as your body recovers. Here’s why: 🔹 Healing Process – Even after symptoms fade, your immune system continues working. 🔹 Lingering Inflammation – Your lymph nodes may stay enlarged as they clear out infection remnants. 🔹 Secondary Infections – A new or lingering infection can keep them swollen. 🔹 Overactive Immune Response – Conditions like autoimmune diseases can prolong swelling. 💡 When to Be Concerned: If swelling lasts more than 2-4 weeks, becomes painful, or is accompanied by fever, night sweats, or weight loss, see a doctor. #SwollenLymphNodes #LymphNodes #HealthAwareness #ImmuneSystem #WellnessTips #StayHealthy #Lymphadenopathy #naturalaging #freckles #BodySignals #MedicalAdvice #HealthTips #ImmuneHealth #PostIllnessRecovery #knowyourbodybetter #HealthAnxiety #AnxietyAwareness #MindOverMatter #HealthMindset #MentalHealthMatters #WellnessJourney #Overthinking #YouAreNotAlone #AnxietySupport #HealthWorries #CopingStrategies #HealingMind #hypochondria #healthanxietyawareness

🧐Big neck Lymph node🫢 Singular lymph node metastasis of a head and neck cancer. Typical ultrasound features of an inhomogenous lymph node, more round shape than wide and partly anechoic, which represents a necrosis. These metastastic lymph nodes do not hurt❗️ Always check the rest of the neck and in case of lymphoma also check abdominal and axilla for big lymph nodes. . . #ultrasound #sonography #sonographer #medicaleducation #FOAMed #FOAMus #foamrad #gastroenterology #FOAMmed #medical #doctor #mededucation #pocus #hocuspocus #fujifilmmedicalsystems #arietta850 #health #lymphnode #lymphnodemetastasis #neckultrasound #lymphknoten #lymphknotenmetastasen #lymphnodes #headneckcancer #cancer #metastasis

Found a swollen lymph node and feeling anxious? Don’t panic. As a Hematologist, I want you to know that most swollen lymph nodes are NOT cancer. What matters is: • Size – small nodes are usually benign • Pain – painful nodes often mean infection • Duration – nodes lasting more than 4–6 weeks need evaluation Painless, rubbery, large lymph nodes that persist should be checked with a physical exam and blood tests. If needed, a biopsy can give clear answers. Early evaluation saves lives — and even lymphoma is highly treatable when caught early. Be willing to try EVERYTHING. We are detectives in our own health cases and have to be patient and thorough. 🕵🏻‍♂️ Cracking the combination to the safe isn’t going to happen on the first try! I was trying the same “code” over and over and over again, and, for some reason, expected results. When I tried something new, things shifted. Things are shifting. What works for one person won’t always work for another person because each body has its own unique interferences. You have to address those unique interferences to be able to make progress. Stay curious and keep learning! HERE’S WHAT IS ACTUALLY HELPING ME WITH MY HARDENED LYMPH NODE: 👉🏼chiropractic adjustments 3x weekly (for a month) 👉🏼craniosacral therapy once weekly (for a month) 👉🏼 working on cervical spine at home daily 👉🏼 massaging SCM on that side (pinch and pull) 👉🏼 a few antimicrobial sinus rinses as well (notice how nothing I mentioned had anything directly to do with lymph nodes or tissue) Other things I’ve tried along the way: • vibration tool • vacuum cupping • manual lymphatic therapy • LymphStar Pro • infrared light therapy • daily massage • lymph tinctures I have had CT scans that indicate no abnormal or dangerous conditions. It’s wise to be thorough! Have you ever had success in clearing a hardened lymph node? What worked for you?

Effective things don’t have to be complicated. They just need to be consistent. Work your neck and jawline lymph to help your teeth and tongue and mouth health. All of your lymphatic channels are interconnected. Imagine if the bacteria and stuck muck in your mouth don’t drain well? You’re probably not gonna have a nice oral Microbiome which means you won’t have a nice gut Microbiome because they talk to each other. And when your Microbiome becomes chaotic, your body does too. I’m not a dentist, but you can bet your booty I know lymphatics 😂 like a lot. Spot 1 and 2 of our BIG 6™️ lymph resets are in this. Imagine that😃 See that on our website and YouTube channel. Link in IG profile We don’t care what technique or tool you choose to open these flow points. Just the order. Start from bottom up and then reverse it down. “Lymphatic drainage of orodental tissues The lymph vessels from the teeth usually run directly into the submandibular nodes on the same side, although lymph from the mandibular incisors drains into the submental nodes. The lymphatic drainage of the tongue is as follows: Anterior two thirds – initially into the submental and submandibular nodes, which empty into the deep cervical lymph nodes. Posterior third – directly into the deep cervical lymph nodes.“ -TeachMe Anatomy That’s telling you everything is draining towards the collarbone. Simple. Our LYMPH MOJO life changing course is coming back soon. Posting registration this week for our July class. We only teach it four times a year. Don’t miss it. You are gotta learn lymphatics like you’ve never seen before❤️ Common questions: 1. ✔️How often? Enough 2. ✔️How long? Enough 3. ✔️How hard? Enough We say that word ‘enough’ because it’s different for everyone. Highly individual. Don’t overthink it. Just feel it. If it hurts when you do it that means you’re pressing too hard.
