ZO🏳️🌈✨ How to use ze/zir pronouns

Ze/zir pronouns are neopronouns — aka new pronouns — that people of any gender can use in order to express their identities and be referred to with affirming and validating language.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are a few different spellings and pronunciations of ze/zir pronouns — and I’ll be talking about more variations in the future.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But in today’s case — “Ze” is pronounced like “zee” (with a long E sound; rhyming with “she”) and “zir” is pronounced like “here” but with a Z at the beginning instead of an H.

Let’s practice with an example sentence —

If I were talking about someone who uses ze/zir pronouns, I might say…

“Ze is so fun to hang out with. I only met zir recently, but zir energy is radiant, and I know ze going to be a great friend.”

Whereas, if I were referring to someone who uses she/her pronouns, the sentence would read —
