What is the difference between RAW milk and regular, pasteurized milk? 🥛 MOST milk is from cows on factory farms, and this milk must be heated to remove harmful bacteria before being sold in grocery stores… The heating process is pasteurization… In contrast, raw milk is often produced on smaller farms, with more attention to quality control… and it is not heated or blended (homogenized) before consumption… 🤙 This means that the cream rises to the top, as you can see in this reel… Though pasteurized milk (whole milk, why would drink anything else?) contains many nutrients including calcium, K2, riboflavin, stearic acid etc… I prefer raw, unpasteurized milk… 💁‍♂️ Here’s why…. There are multiple studies that show that unheated = raw milk consumption in childhood is associated with lower rates on asthma, eczema, and allergies…👍 Remember that these are kids who grow up on OR off farms… Impressive right? I imagine researchers thought this had something to do with probiotic bacteria in the raw milk vs pasteurized milk at first… But further experiments showed that the benefits of raw milk are probably due to the native (unheated) whey proteins in it, which appear beneficial to the immune system… 👏 Turns out that when you heat whey protein above 65C (160F) it changes shape… and quite possibly can then trigger more immune reactions in humans… Many people feel better when they cut out dairy, but I suspect this may be because pasteurized dairy causes issues for many… If this is you, consider raw dairy as a part of your #animalbased diet or organs (either fresh or @heartandsoilsupplements), meat, fruit, honey and raw diary… Welcome to #theremembering 🏹

Pasteurized milk vs real milk⬇️ Did you know this? Pasteurizing degrades B vitamins along with vitamin C. Not only that it denatures necessary proteins and enzymes used for nutrient absorption. Because they are denatured, your body doesn’t know how to process them and what happens….you get sick. When in reality, real milk has all of the necessary elements in it for digestion. Not to say it’s the answer for everyone but it is definitely an answer they don’t want you to know about. I was so scared of real milk for a long time. I remember sitting in my immunology university class and they taught a whole section on real milk and how scary it is LOL. Finally after doing my own research, I discovered real milk is not so scary and I set out to source it. I remember getting my first gallon from a farmer who traveled four hours once a week to drop off in a parking lot! It was exciting. I have never looked back! Now, I have my own Nigerian dwarf goats who are my main source of real milk + surrounding farmers who keep Jersey cows. I prefer goat milk over cow milk though. Real milk is not inherently dangerous, and I’m glad I learned this. Pasteurization is necessary when coming from feed lot cows who are kept in dirty conditions and have rampant disease…. But it is not necessary when the cows are grazing green grass, drinking fresh water, and have their health maintained. Interesting how the system made pasteurization the norm… So many health benefits from real milk they don’t want you to know about… What do you think? #homestesdinglife #homesteadlife

The most controversial debate: Raw vs. Pasteurized Milk…is all wrong. The conversation should never have been about how much your milk is heated, but where it comes from. The most ironic part of this whole debate: People promote conventional, ultra-processed dairy from practically walking dead cows on growth hormones and antibiotics… Yet demonize raw milk from properly raised, pasture based cows on sanitary farms. So if you are going to drink milk raw, you better be sure it checks these boxes and ideally you have visited the farm to see conditions firsthand. Many producers increasingly have vat-pasteurized which heats milk to 145°F for 30 minutes in small batches, preserving more flavor, enzymes, and nutrients compared to high-heat methods But the point shouldn’t be at all about which of these you choose, that’s up to personal preference. What’s non-negotiable should be buying from small, local, regenerative farms instead of massive conventional industrial dairy operations.

Children have the highest risk of severe illness from raw-milk pathogens, including kidney failure, sepsis, brain injury, and death. Every major pediatric and public-health organization advises against giving raw milk to kids. 2. Pasteurization doesn’t ruin milk. It removes bacteria that can cause serious infections…. Please don’t even say we are paid by “big pasteurization” 3. Yes, kids still get seriously ill from raw milk. Listeria, E. coli, Campylobacter, and Salmonella are not theoretical risks. They cause real hospitalizations, kidney failure, brain injury, miscarriage, and death. 4. You cannot see, smell, or taste contamination. A farm can be clean. The cow can look healthy. The milk can still contain dangerous bacteria. 5. The highest-risk groups are infants, young children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and the immunocompromised. These are the people most likely to suffer severe or life-threatening outcomes. 6. “I’ve drank it my whole life and I’m fine” is not science. That’s survivorship bias…. 7. Raw milk outbreaks happen repeatedly and they are preventable. 8. Raw milk outbreaks are not the same as vegetables. That comparison is false. When contamination is found in produce, we recall it immediately….. the risk per serving is astronomically higher for that of raw milk 9. The exact per-serving risk is difficult to quantify. Raw Milk = Overrated Just because something is “natural” doesn’t mean it’s healthier for you If you want: - Less vitamins and nutrients - More pus, bacteria, and pathogens - And a 45X higher chance of hospitalization Then raw milk is for YOU 🫵🏼 But if you’re sane, pasteurized milk at the store is the better option There’s two more myths about raw milk I didn’t have time to cover in the video: Myth 1: “Pasturization kills all the “good” bacteria in milk” This one’s actually true... but it doesn’t matter, and here’s why: Because although yes, pasturization kills a tiny amount of beneficial bacteria in the milk… The amount of beneficial bacteria lost is too small to impact your health in the slightest, and pasteurization kills dangerous pathogens like salmonella, listeria, and E. coli.
