PICaring for Fully Healed Piercings 😏
Once your piercing is fully healed, the channel (called a fistula) is lined with stable tissue. This means your body has done all the hard work, & now your main focus is just keeping that healed hole happy. Here’s how:
Jewelry Matters: Even in healed tissue, your jewelry still plays the biggest role in keeping things healthy. Stick with properly fitted, implant grade metal. Cheaper or poorly sized jewelry can still cause irritation.
Daily Care: At this stage, the routine is super simple. Let clean water run over your piercings in the shower that’s plenty. There’s no need to use soap (even antibacterial kinds) because soap residue can get trapped around the jewelry & irritate the tissue.
Saline When Needed: this may be controversial … If irritation pops up from snagging, sleeping pressure, or a jewelry change, that’s when I recommend my clients bringing saline back into the routine until things settle. Again, this is for a fully healed piercing just because your piercing hits the 6 month mark this may not be the case.
Keep It Simple: Once healed, less really is more. With proper jewelry & a quick rinse during your shower, your piercing should stay healthy without extra effort!

Piercing guns were designed to force blunt jewelry through tissue using pressure. That “pop” you hear? That’s trauma to your tissue.

• They use blunt studs that tear through skin instead of a razor-sharp, single-use sterile needle that creates a clean channel.
• Most guns cannot be fully sterilized in an autoclave. Plastic parts = bacteria’s favorite hiding place.

Been doing this technique for years and clients complain of a lots less pain!
This piercing can last years if careful. No snagging or pulling on the piercing or trying to change the top too soon which can lead to rejection. Rejection is the skin slowly push out the anchor over time. With hard force it can pull it out fully or half out and will have to be removed completely.
