How fast did seven months go? I didn’t even notice.
Moving is exhausting. The first few months after moving from Sydney to Melbourne were pure survival mode — finding an apartment, finding work, finding childcare for our daughter. Once that was done, it was straight into house hunting, which was insanely competitive and stressful.
Seven months in and I still hadn’t really seen Melbourne. I just didn’t have the time.
I’m not usually a fan of capturing raw moments or feelings like this, but this one felt different. It felt emotional. Poetic, even. My first sunset in Melbourne.
It was beautiful — like it was telling me, “Hey, Gracie, relax. Melbourne’s got your back.”
