Literally the best decision I’ve made!!!🥹 SUCH a game changer!! if I’m totally candid; I’ve really struggled with my motivation to exercise recently, so I wanted to invest in something that would make exercise a bit easier for me. I know it sounds so silly but after a long day sometimes just getting in the car and driving to the gym as a challenge😂 not even joking, sometimes I pat myself on the back as soon as I walk through the gym doors because I think getting there is the hardest part 😂 so I thought that by having a reformer at home it means I can quickly and easily do a 30 to 40 minute workout, I don’t have to go anywhere, and I can enjoy it at my own pace!!! 💗🥰 I also don’t want my life to revolve around exercise like it once did, and I think I’ve gone so far the other way now that I’m now trying to get the motivation back!😂 I’m so glad I took the plunge and did it! Can anyone recommend some good YouTubers & workouts to follow? I did about a year of private reformer sessions so I know a little bit but I I need to find someone who’s good at explaining the form so I don’t get it wrong! ❤️ workout set from @alo 🤍 #pilates #reformer #reformerpi̇lates

A lot of people think the reformer was invented to make Pilates harder. But originally, it was actually designed to make Pilates more accessible. Joseph Pilates developed the reformer using springs attached to a bed frame while working with injured and unwell patients. Many of them couldn’t get down onto the floor to perform traditional mat exercises. The springs allowed movements to be supported or assisted, helping people build strength and mobility while lying down. That’s why the reformer is so effective for: • injury rehabilitation • beginners • people with limited mobility The springs can make exercises easier or harder, depending on how they’re used. So while reformer Pilates can definitely be challenging… its original purpose was actually to help people move when mat Pilates wasn’t possible. No progression = no change. 2. You’re not training close enough to failure Pilates should feel challenging. If you’re not reaching that shaky, burning point, you’re not giving your muscles a reason to grow. 3. You’re not consistent enough 1–2 sessions a week won’t create visible results. You need consistency (3–5x/week) to actually see changes in your body. Not just Pilates 😉 4. You’re not eating enough protein “Toning” = building lean muscle.
