VESERIE: Heridas abiertas (Sharp Objects)
ARGUMENTO: Miniserie de TV (2018). 8 episodios. Tras pasar un breve tiempo en un hospital psiquiátrico, la periodista Camille Preaker regresa a su pequeña ciudad natal para cubrir los asesinatos de dos chicas adolescentes. Durante años, Camille apenas ha hablado con Adora Crellin, su neurótica e hipocondríaca madre, que vive con su marido y con su hija Amma, hermanastra de Camille, una joven a la que apenas conoce. Instalada en su antiguo dormitorio en la mansión victoriana de su familia, Camille pronto se identifica con las jóvenes víctimas.
Atrapada por sus propios demonios, debe desentrañar el rompecabezas psicológico de su propio pasado si quiere obtener una historia que escribir acerca de los crímenes.
OPINIÓN: En cuanto a la miniserie, además de poseer un gran guión, un montaje inteligente y unas excelentes interpretaciones, posee además una brillante atmósfera, nos hace darnos cuenta de que estamos delante de una obra de un calado superior.
Obviamente Amy Adams carga con casi todo el peso de la serie, pero sinceramente creo que es Patricia Clarkson la que hace suyas todas las escenas en las que aparece, con un personaje siniestro y cargado de cierto poder hipnótico.
Los últimos capítulos son brutales, en los que se nos va cayendo el pañuelo de los ojos. Podías imaginarte que Adora escondía algún secreto e incluso podías dudar en algunas cosas de Amma, pero jamás lo que realmente es, aunque realmente todo estaba ahí, sólo tenías que fijarte. Durante el capítulo final se produce una cena familiar en la que madre y hija realizan un intercambio de miradas terrorífico, y la escena final consiguió dejarme boquiabierta y absolutamente asombrada , así como las escenas post créditos.
Muy pocas películas y series han conseguido impactarme tanto.

Sharp Objects es un thriller psicológico basada en la novela de Gillian Flynn que se estrenó el 8 de julio de 2018 y que nos conecta con muchas imágenes de lo femenino y la belleza, lo materno y la fragilidad que genera en un ser humano el trauma, la ausencia de amor y la mirada de la madre. Lo sistémico y lo colectivo en un pueblo pequeño donde todos se conocen y se descalifican. 👌Muy buena.
