This exercise is all about that. Do it for 1 minute or more if it feels good in the moment. Breathe 💨 in through your nose for 4 and out through your nose 👃 for 7 (if you struggle with nasal breathing it’s ok to use your mouth when you need to). Hip movement has been a powerful practice for my life. I encourage you to do your best as you allow yourself to give it a try. With most things in life, it will take time to teach your body to let go of judgment. The first time I tried hip movement I was very quick judge it… but as my body softened into the moves, I could feel my energy begin to flow and I surrendered to the release. I have cried, laughed, and tingled during this. When you allow your body the freedom to just feel, you begin to learn how powerful your connection to yourself can be. We all carry tension in our hips & because it is the center point of our body, this stuck energy can effect our over-all health. Although there may have been times that you have not felt safe in your life, I want to offer these words for you. “You are safe now. Safe to move. Safe to feel. Every morning, right after I wake up, before stepping into the rush of the day, I start with bed mobility movements to gently open my joints, hips & spine. This helps my body transition from rest to movement without shock or strain. Once I’m off the bed, I follow it up with my lymphatic routine to support circulation, reduce stagnation & help my body feel lighter & more awake. After that, these are 3 gentle movements that I have been practicing consistently for over a year now & that I also guide my clients with, based on how the body responds over time when done regularly & mindfully. These movements support the body in different ways: Movement 1- Encourages better blood & lymph flow, helps manage leg swelling & supports gentle arm toning. Movement 2- Supports pelvic floor engagement, improves hip mobility, activates the thighs & enhances overall lower-body flexibility. Movement 3- Helps improve lower-limb circulation, reduces heaviness in the legs & supports vein health. This is just a glimpse of how I structure my mornings; not as a workout but as intentional movement to awaken the lymphatic system, support circulation, reduce inflammation & help the body feel stable & supported.
