Typically, sciatica affects only one side of your body. Sciatica usually is caused by irritation, inflammation, pinching or compression of a nerve in the lower back. The most common cause is a herniated or slipped disk that causes pressure on the nerve root. The sciatic nerve is the big nerve that goes down the back of your leg. It comes from the L4 through S3 nerve roots. 
🚨The symptoms may include moderate to severe pain in lower back, buttock and down your leg, Numbness or weakness in your lower back, buttock, leg or feet and Pain that worsens with movement; loss of movement sitting for long periods of time can often aggravate symptoms! this nerve pain often starts at the low back & can radiate down into the hip, buttock, back of thigh, and down the leg 🏋🏻‍♂️These exercises are not a protocol to “fix” sciatica but are only examples of possible exercises to help relieve sciatic pain. In my 11 years experience as a PT, I’ve found that mobilizing or stretching the sciatic nerve is the quickest and easiest way to get relief from pain and decrease likelihood of future flare ups. Stretch should be gentle and not increasing symptoms. Try to work in pain-free range working for 1-3 sets of 15-30 seconds. Do it as much as you’d like, in standing or sitting at the edge of a chair.
