Week 10 of Train It Right ✨ One of my absolute favorite exercises: the CABLE STEP UP This is a powerful movement for those glute (and quad) gains. Key Technique Points: • Use a bench/step at least knee height (slightly higher if possible) • Hold the cable with either the same arm or the opposite arm (contralateral loading = more glute activation) • Keep hips square + foot fully on the bench • Push through your front foot, lean slightly forward, and drive up • Control the descent by reaching far from the bench for a full glute stretch • Avoid “dropping” to the floor – slow and controlled is key:) . . . #legday #glutes #legs #personaltrainer #fitness #training #workout #cable #stepup #health #healthy #fit #gym

Perfect your cable step ups. Here’s how: (training plans available @traindailyjlh 🔗) ✅ Shoes off for balance (and respect): Better foot connection means more control and power. Plus, nobody wants your dirty shoes on the bench. ✅ Hold the cable in the hand opposite your working leg. This creates rotation, core and great glute engagement. ✅ Don’t just step up and drop down. Control the descent by keeping your weight in the front leg. Lean your torso forward as you step back and down. ✅ Your front knee should stay over your ankle/mid foot. If you want your glutes to do the work, don’t let your knees past your toes because this will mean your quads will be taking over. ✅ Think about driving through your front foot. Cable Step Up 🔥🍑 Heerlijke nieuwe oefeningen ontdekt voor de perzikjes aka glutes / oftewel je BUNDAAAA!!! 😏 Je kan de step up op verschillende manieren uitvoeren, maar op dit moment vind ik deze uitvoering chill!! Uitvoering: 🔸 Bevestig een handvat aan de lage kabelpositie & plaats een bankje of stevige verhoging voor de cable station 🔸 Stap met 1 been op het bankje 🔸 Pak met je ene hand het handvat en je andere hand de cable station vast 🔸 Core goed bracen (aanspannen), zodat je een stabiele, neutrale wervelpositie aanhoudt 🔸 Zak langzaam en gecontroleerd naar beneden terwijl je heupen naar achter bewegen 🔸 Tik met je teen licht de grond aan (het is niet nodig om je hele voet te laten landen, je wil lekker die spanning houden op je werkende been / bil) 🔸 Kom omhoog door de kracht uit je been op het bankje te halen. AND REPEAT! 🔥 Probeer 3 sets van 10-12 herhalingen per been. Voeg steeds een beetje meer gewicht toe als je durft ^^ 👉 TRY IT OUT!!! 🍑💪 Bij vragen kan je altijd die DM insliden!! GYM HACKS 🔥💪🏼✅ Here are 3 creative training hacks that I love! ➡️CABLE STEP UP instead of using dumbbells! You will be able to go heavier as balance isn’t the limiting factor. Work on focusing on the front leg and putting your glutes in an optimal position Slow eccentric phase + time under tension! Now this doesn’t totally replace dumbbells, this is just a variation I use. ➡️STRADDLE LIFT USING THE ASSISTED CHIN UP MACHINE. This is my ‘lazy girl set up’. When the gym is busy and you can’t be bothered dragging plates to make the deficit or there isn’t anything available to elevate your feet - give this a go! ➡️ BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT STANCE. If you struggle to find your foot positioning try starting from the ground first, place your foot back up on the bench and find a comfortable spot before lifting up your weight.
