And that means posting your content at the right time. 🕒 If you’re posting once a day, start by testing 10am EST. 🕒 If you’re posting twice a day, post the first one at 10am EST and the second one at 7pm EST. 🕒 If you’re posting 3 times a day, post the third one at 1pm EST. 🕒 And if you’re posting 4 times a day? Publish the fourth post at 9pm EST. As for what days to post? Every day is ideal, but Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays tend to perform best. Sundays? Not so much. Quick Tip: After you post, spend the next 30 minutes on TikTok replying to comments and engaging with other content to keep the momentum going. And most importantly, these are just guidelines. In 2024 they announced Updates for these changes to take effect and now they are fully here. Here’s what you need to know: We are entering a world where followers do not matter as much. It is becoming more and more about the content every day. This is similar to TikTok’s algorithm where it shows your content to people who do not follow you first versus your follow. The old Instagram algorithm would show your content to your followers and based on their initial engagement, it would determine if it would push it out to non-followers for more reach. The new Instagram algorithm is showing your content to non-followers first so that you have a greater chance of getting more reach. You may start noticing this with your analytics where you are getting more non-follower reach than follow or reach out the gate. Here’s what you can do: - focus heavily on the first three seconds to hook people into your videos instantly and use the view rate insight to see where people are dropping off. - Provide context upfront and assume no one knows who you are so that it makes your content more appealing to want to watch. - front load information upfront. No more withholding information until the end of the video and hopes that you can increase your watch time – that loses people. Put it in the beginning we watch time is the highest to maximize your reach.
