37 weeks. One previous C-section. She walked in with mild pains and one question ‘Doctor, can I deliver normally this time?’ Her last C-section was 5 years ago. Reason? Baby passed meconium and had cord around the neck. And here’s what many women don’t know: Not every previous C-section means the next one has to be surgery too. If the first cesarean happened for a reason that is unlikely to repeat, if the scar is healthy, baby is doing well, and labor starts naturally VBAC can be a safe option in selected cases and at a center where proper monitoring can be done. One scar does not always mean a lifetime of scars. But the decision should always be individualized, monitored, and made safely. #vbac #pregnancy #cesarean #momtobe #obstetricsandgynecology Would you go for a VBAC if everything is in its favour?

Our first was an emergency c-section (TRAUMATIC experience, almost lost our baby, so YES we are thankful for the C-section because it’s what saved his life🙏🏻), second was a vaginal birth after cesarean, & third time around another VBAC🙏🏻. We learned at our recent hospital stay after having 2 VBACS it is no longer considered a “trial for labor” (which means VBAC). Before our first VBAC, I was filled with anxiety since we had a traumatic birth experience previously, didn’t know if we should go with another Csection or try for a vaginal birth. My main reason why I decided to try for vaginal was because my recovery for emergency Csection was really rough… and the thought of not being able to hold/hug my 2 year old toddler with my newborn baby made me so sad. It almost took me 2-3 months to even feel “normal”… where I can blow my nose, laugh, or even cough without pain…. After having a successful first VBAC, we decided to do another VBAC for our third birth because recovery for me was much easier vaginally vs cesarean. Here are my 3 tips if you want to try for a VBAC! You are your own advocate! At my FIRST OB appt I made sure to tell them I wanted to try for a VBAC BOTH times because I had to make sure I felt supported through it. Lmk what helped you if you went through it too! That’s the question I heard the most. & honestly… I get it. It’s not the ‘usual’ choice. But here’s the truth ⬇️ I wasn’t trying to prove my worth as a mom. I wasn’t chasing some badge of honor. I just wanted to give my body the chance to do something it had never been able to before. After 3 c sections, I wanted to labor. To push. To experience birth in a different way, even if it didn’t go the way I dreamed. For me, attempting a VBAC was about: * Trusting my body more than my fear * Doing my research & knowing my risks * Writing a birth story I was part of deciding It didn’t end the way I planned (that’s a story for another reel 🙃), but I’ll never regret saying yes to the chance. Because sometimes, the point isn’t the outcome… it’s the courage to try. 💬 Did you attempt a VBAC or consider one? Tell me your story in the comments. #vbac #vba3c #vbacmom

I told my doctor from the beginning I wanted to avoid getting another c-section. He said “let’s try it” and fully supported me without any “buts”. As I entered my third trimester he told me there’s a possibility I’d have to get a c section. I wasn’t discouraged but more thought “whatever God wants” By the grace of God I was able to experience a VBAC and was amazed all over again over what a woman’s body can do. If you’re doubting your ability to have a vbac after a c section, here is your sign to have faith. 🤍regardless the goal is a healthy baby ✨ #vbac #vbacbaby #laboranddelivery #storytime #csectionmom #pregnancyisbeautiful #pregnancyjourney #momof2 #mommy #godisgood #relatable #faith #foryou

I’ve prayed for a Vbac for more than 10 years! My first pregnancy was twins and ended up in a C-section due to pre-eclampsia at 35.5 weeks. My second pregnancy, I tried for a Vbac but later realized my provider really wasn’t Vbac friendly. At my 36.5 week ultrasound, she said my baby had IUGR and if I didn’t go into labor naturally within a week, he had a high probability of being stillborn. I chose to have a C-section because I was scared. He was born right at 7lbs at 37.5 weeks and was perfectly healthy. My 3rd pregnancy was triplets and ended up in an emergency C-section at 32.5 weeks due to TTTS. My last twin pregnancy was a scheduled C-section because I couldn’t find a provider that would allow me to try for a Vbac with twins after 3 C-sections. They were born at 38.5 weeks. Fast forward six years—we found out we were expecting baby #9. After years of praying for a Vbac, I knew this was my chance for a redemptive birth. I educated myself on my rights and learned how to be an advocate for myself. I spent time in prayer and had a supernatural peace that really couldn’t be explained. I knew God was calling me to this and I could trust Him completely. Looking back I’m so grateful I didn’t listen to all the voices telling me it wasn’t possible. It deepened my relationship and dependence on God and for that I’m forever grateful. 🫶 I ended up having a successful Vbac after 4 C-sections at 40 weeks. Moral of the story: There’s always going to be people in our life that are telling us we can’t do something ( and a lot of times it’s ourselves) BUT I want to encourage you to follow Gods leading for your life because being in His will is the best place to be! 🤍 Do you agree? ❤️ . . . . . . . . . . . .#largefamily #vba4c #vbac #csectionmama #9kids #triplets #twins #twinsandmultiples #momofmultiples ##largefamilylife #bigfamilies #triplets #tripletmom #twinmomlife #twinningiswinning #homeschoolmom #momlifehacks #christianbloggers #largefamilymom #naturalbirth #csection #csectionrecovery #csectionawareness #vbachopeful #vbactips #vbacfacts #vbacbaby #vbacdoula #vbacjourney

1-having a good support person is absolutely everything. I could not have done it without my husband 2-the spinal is the absolute worst part of the csection. No one really talks about that and when they hit nerves and it makes you feel like you got zapped…that’s enough to make you come unglued 3-you can have music playing as loud or quiet as you want. They usually have a portable speaker. That helped me get through my third csection! I wasn’t feeling music for my fourth so we didn’t do that. 4-there’s always a chance you’ll have to get knocked out. This happened with my second csection because they couldn’t numb me and I could feel everything. So they knocked me out. Missing my sons birth still haunts me to this day 5-there’s a high possibility you’ll throw up on the operating table. 6-a good nurse and anesthesiologist will make all the difference for your c section. With my third C-section, it was an older guy that reminded me of my Grandpa And he literally held my hand and comforted me the whole time and updated me as it went on. 7-the operating room is SO bright. I wish they could dim the lights but obviously they need it bright for surgery 8-there’s soo many people in the operating room and they just kind of act like its no big deal and talk about random things in their life. This honestly helped me stay calm and make it seem like it wasn’t as scary as it seems. 9-sometimes you can feel them putting the catheter in after your spinal. This happened to me twice. Not fun 10-hearing your baby cry after a csection is the most relieving thing. The worst part is basically over.
