A minimal change in the system, a significant leap in performance. We tested the NINO100100 angle bracket in tension on CLT elements, simulating a wall-to-floor node. In the first test: 14 LBA460 nails on the vertical flange, 13 on the horizontal one. In the second one: same configuration, with the addition of 2 inclined VGSØ9 screws. With nails only, failure occurs due to connector pull-out. With inclined screws, failure happens because of plate punching at the screw points. More strength. More stiffness. Maximum use of the angle bracket.
