My views were dead for months.
Not because I was bad at content -
but because Instagram was quietly limiting distribution.
Once I fixed these, Instagram started sending my Reels to non-followers and BUYERS, not just empty viewers.
Here are the exact settings I changed:
📌 (Save this. Share it with another creator)
1️⃣ Turn ON Translation
Upload Reel → Under “Add a caption” → Toggle Translate Reel ON
This allows Instagram to push your content globally instead of only to your local language pool.
2️⃣ Upload in High Quality
Profile → ☰ (top right) → Media Quality
Toggle Upload at highest quality ON
Instagram prioritizes high-resolution Reels.
Low quality = limited distribution.
3️⃣ Allow Anyone to Follow You
Profile → ☰ → Follow & Invite Friends
Turn OFF “Flag for Review”
When this is on, Instagram may limit who can follow you — and who sees your posts.
4️⃣ Allow Your Content to Appear on Google
Profile → ☰ → Account Privacy
Turn ON “Allow photos & videos to appear in search engines”
This lets your Reels show up in Google search results outside Instagram.
Yes - people do find content this way.
5️⃣ Make Your Content Shareable
Profile → ☰ → Sharing & Reuse
Turn ON:
• Allow people to share your posts and Reels
• Posts & Reels to Stories
• Reposts on posts and Reels
Shares are one of the strongest non-follower signals.
This matters more than likes.
6️⃣ Allow External Embeds
Profile → ☰ → Sharing & Reuse
Toggle Website Embeds ON
This allows your Reels to be shown outside Instagram (blogs, websites, articles).
More surfaces = more reach.
These settings don’t make bad content good.
They stop good content from being throttled.
