Many students think that to change a verb into past tense,
they just need to add -ed.

But…
👉 Go → Goed? ❌
👉 Eat → Eated? ❌
The correct forms are:
👉 Go → Went
👉 Eat → Ate
This is the difference between regular and irregular verbs.
