Step Up vs Step Down: sai davvero quale scegliere? Step Up e Step Down non sono esercizi intercambiabili. Up produce forza, Step Down sviluppa controllo. Entrambi gli esercizi sono validi, ma inserirli correttamente in un programma di allenamento è la chiave per ottenere risultati concreti. Se avverti dolore durante questi esercizi, è un chiaro segnale di una disfunzione biomeccanica. Step Workout from @kayla_itsines - REPOST! ADVANCED STEP WORKOUT! The only advanced thing about this is the REPS. Anyone can do this workout, you just need to modify the reps (do 10 of each) and slow the exercises down. For those who do not want to do the split squats, STEP down either side of the step, squat, step back up into the step💪💪 if you want to modify the drop push up, step your feet back, push up, step back in! No need to jump back if you don’t want to 😁💪 Enjoy your #bbgworkout www.kaylaitsines.com/app #rfefitness #reebokstep #reebok #stepworkout #advancedstepworkout #workoutvideo #workouts #kaylaitsines #fitness #fitnessvideo #workoutinspo

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 — 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 Not all step downs are created equal. Different styles = different gains👇🏼 1️⃣ Patrick Step-Down Heel stays flat on the floor. Great for targeting the lower quads, stabilising the knee, and improving ankle range of motion. 2️⃣ Poliquin Step-Down Heel elevated with assistance. Focuses on quad strength + knee joint support. 3️⃣ Peterson Step-Down The most advanced. Emphasises balance and requires lifting the heel without assistance. 4️⃣ Backwards Step-Down Light toe tap behind you. Fires up glutes, quads, hamstrings and your core for balance. 5️⃣ Lateral Step-Down Step to the side, keeping hips level. Boosts knee and hip stability, plus strengthens hip abductors. 6️⃣ Curtsy Step-Down Add a diagonal reach behind. Glute stretch + next level balance and coordination. Pick the variation that supports your goals OR use them all 🔥 . . #fightingfitmanchester #legday #kneestrength #functionaltraining #mobilitytraining #stepdowns #movementquality

🚨 You weren’t built to sit all day. But most people do it for 6+ hours… every. single. day. And even if you exercise — your risk of early death can rise by up to 40%. 🩸 Circulation slows. 🦴 Your hips, spine, and knees get stiff. 🧠 Your brain fogs up. It’s not age. It’s not your proportions. It’s disuse. You stopped doing what humans evolved to do — move. And the easiest way to get it back? Start squatting. Not a gym squat. A resting squat — the natural position humans used to cook, rest, and live. 👉 30 minutes per day, accumulated. That’s the SQUAT Challenge. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s reconnection. Your joints will open up. Your circulation will improve. Your body will remember how to be human again. Have you done the SQUAT Challenge and stayed consistent? What was the outcome? 👇🏼 #painfreelife #jointmobility #backpainrelief #kneepainrelief #hippainrelief #spinalhealth #moveforlongevity #injuryprevention #mobilityexercises #bodyfreedom #painfreemovement #posturecorrection #painfreeperformance #movementheals #mobilityrehab

Using a small block in front of the knee helps control the movement during step-downs. It prevents the knee from drifting too far forward or collapsing back and forces you to move slowly and stay in control. That lets you push the hips back safely and create a deeper stretch in the glutes and hamstrings. When you come back up, that stretch translates into much better glute engagement. Control the position. Feel the glutes work. #legtraining #stepdown #controlledreps #trainwithintent #strengthtraining

Getting up from the ground without using your hands isn’t just a party trick…it’s actually a strong indicator of your mobility, balance, and overall longevity. ➡️ A 2014 study in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology found that the ability to sit down and rise from the floor without support is closely linked to lower mortality risk. The less assistance you need, the better your musculoskeletal fitness and coordination. We’re demonstrating 5 different ways to get up from the ground with zero hand support, so you can test where you’re at and build the strength, stability, and flexibility to make it easier over time. @rach_mooore has on the 5-loop spacers and @sophia_rosenberger07 is rocking our anatomical shaped Rep Club socks with grip 🧦 Save this post and give each variation a try. The step-down exercise is an effective knee-strengthening workout as it targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes while emphasizing controlled descent. This builds muscle around the knee joint, enhancing stability and reducing the risk of strain. By promoting proper tracking of the knee during movement, it improves biomechanics, fostering a balanced gait and reducing stress on the joints. Strengthening these muscle groups translates to enhanced daily activities, like climbing stairs or squatting down, promoting better functionality and minimizing discomfort. Incorporating step-down exercises into a routine can contribute to long-term knee health, aiding in lnjury prevention and overall better mobility. Here are 5 ways to level up your step training when doing a ‘Basic Step’. ❤️ Be sure to do equal sets of Basics, stepping up with both the right leg and the left: Level 1) Place hands on hips and step up-up-down-down on a step bench, which is set at its lowest step height, which keeps the moves low-impact. Level 2) Arms swing naturally at the sides as participants step up-up-down-down on the step bench. Level 3) Begin to play around with different arm patterns to make it fun and to help engage both the body and the brain as we step up-up-down-down on the step bench. Level 4) Raise the step bench height, which helps to increase intensity for participants as they step up-up-down-down on the step bench. (It’s surprising how much this kicks up the intensity.) Level 5) Keeping the step bench at a higher level (or this can be done with the bench at a lower height), jog up-up then step down-down carefully for a high-intensity burst. This move should only be done in short intervals. What Step level do you enjoy most? Challenge levels: Level 1: Walk forward Level 2: Walk backward Level 3: Side steps Level 4: One foot pause before each step Two to five minutes is enough. What kids don’t realize they’re doing: They are building strong feet, better balance, steady ankles, tall posture, and confidence. Their brain thinks it’s a story. Their body is learning control.
