@viraemiaband RIP “@viraemiaband recording at Castle ultimate studios. Scott (me) playing "Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation" http://viraemia.bigcartel.com/ It is a 10 string bass. I built it with a 34" scale and it is tuned in fourths from D (an octave below drop D on a normal bass) to B. If you have a problem with calling it a bass ( which is short for bass guitar) then call it what you would like, or consult the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (free at http://plato.stanford.edu/ ) on the problem of the many and or Sorites paradox. This is how I learned from @ianhatesguitars on day 1 10+ years and literally 1000s of guitars later, this is still all I need to secure the string. No hitch, no knots, no bakers twine bows… Yep! I traded in my string winder for pliers that help pull the slack out ✅ The right amount of wraps every time ✅ No slop causing tuning issues ✅ Never had a string pull through EVER ✅ Easy removal in a high pressure situation bc there’s NO KNOT OR HITCH ✅ No string winder needed ✅ HOPE THIS HELPS 🌵🤠 (Vintage fender style is obviously a different story)
