AFIt’s not just about how your curls look today it’s about how they feel long-term.
I gave californianaturals a solid try. My curls loved it at first, but over time, the moisture just wasn’t hitting the same. Lightweight formulas can be great short-term, but my 3B/3C hair needs more.
Switched back to @innersenseorganicbeauty and instantly felt the hydration return. Sometimes your hair tells you what it needs you just have to listen.

FOBounce Curl Define Edgelift Brush on Type 4 Coily Hair
Type 2 and Type 3 girls LOVE this brush and my sister-in-law (3B ish) also told me that she loves it so I decided to try it out myself to see if it can also do justice to my coils. My hair was fully detangled a few hours prior, then each section was finger detangled with water right before using the mousse and using the brush.
Here are my thoughts:
1) It definitely "works" on Type 4 hair, creating a gorgeous spiral curl (kinda like a finger coil) at the end.
2) It looks like most of the definition happens only on the ends though.
3) Unfortunately, this means that my roots stay puffy.
4) With the roots being mostly puffy, it means that shrinkage is on 💯 with this brush, which is great, if that's what you want, but usually I'm looking for elongation.
Final Thoughts: For a mousse wash n go on Type 4 hair, I wouldn't use this brush, because of the shrinkage. Keeping in mind that I'm able to define the full length of my hair with my hands and mousse alone on a regular basis. I think the brush might be better for a gel wash n go, as the gel may naturally create more elongation so I will try that next 🤞🏽. What do you think?
