Shopping addiction can stem from various sources, but ultimately, it ends up being used as a crutch for dopamine hits, self-image, and control. If there’s a chance you are using shopping addiction to fill a hole in your life or improve your self-image/sense of worth, it’s time to dig deep inside yourself to find the ROOT CAUSE of that addiction before it ruins your life. If this resonates with you, especially as the holidays approach and shopping becomes a regular occurrence, comment SHOPPING below so I know you want to see more videos like this. #ShoppingAddiction #Shopping #SelfAwareness #AddictionAwareness #HealthyHabits

I only partially agree with this. Most people think they’re over trauma but really it shaped their entire identity BECAUSE they haven’t faced it. But most likely because they’ve NEVER been validated in their emotions. But there’s definitely ones still in victim mentality and still using the same excuses for their behaviors today. Also depends how long ago the sad thing happened to justify behavior, has nothing to do with age. However it will never go away until delt with somatically. It’s held in your body and in your subconscious beliefs. PTSD, cPTSD #childhoodtrauma self growth #addictionawareness #generationaltrauma

The second part of this vid is pinned to my profile (posted a few weeks before this) if you haven’t seen it, but this was a conversation I had with my dad after walking into my motel room and finding out my bf at the time had just relapsed and completely trashed our room (we were supposed to be staying sober together). I just wanted to protect my dad, but he always knew. Even if he didn’t know exactly, he knew. I really am grateful to be out of this toxic environment so my dad doesn’t have to worry about me like this anymore❤️‍🩹 #addiction #awareness #recovery #explore #fyp

Thoughts 4 – Powerful Moment "I ain't never doing that again." 24 hours later — the order's in and you're back on it 😳 @martinjohngetclean describes what being on cocaine seven days a week really looks like from the inside. The cycle, the lies, the convincing yourself everything's okay when it isn't. Sound familiar? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Every woman who’s loved an addict eventually learns this the hard way: I’ve had enough conversations over the last 3 ½ years to know this… The answer you get depends on who you ask. If you talk to the woman who stayed… and he chose sobriety… and they rebuilt their family… She’ll tell you it was worth it. She’ll tell you not to give up. But if you talk to the woman who lost everything… the one who had to leave to save herself and her kids… or the one who didn’t get a choice because addiction took his life… She’ll tell you something very different. She’ll tell you she wouldn’t do it the same way again. But no matter who you talk to… no matter how the story ends… There is one truth every single one of them will agree on: It will cost you. And you will not come out the same woman. Whether that becomes your strength… or something you have to spend years healing… depends on what you’re willing to face. It will cost you your peace. Your sleep. Your nervous system. Your sense of reality. It will bring you to your knees. Especially when there are kids involved. You will feel anger. Rage. Bitterness you didn’t know you were capable of…🥹 And you’ll have to decide if you’re going to process it… or let it change you. And you’re not even the addict. That’s the part no one prepares you for. Addiction doesn’t just destroy the person in it… it slowly dismantles the people who love them too. And the hardest part? Some women never get out. It becomes their life. Their identity. Their story. And they were never the one using. So if you take anything from me, take this: It is never the wrong decision to choose yourself. Ever. Your life matters too. Your peace matters too. And whatever you choose… make sure it’s something you can live with when it’s all said and done. ♥️Joanna, healing with you #addictionwidow #addictionawareness #mentalhealth #momlife #choosingme

At the Critics' Choice Awards, Lady Gaga delivered a deeply emotional speech while accepting Best Actress for her role in A Star Is Born. Standing on stage, she first honored the acting teachers and artists who came before her. Then she shifted the focus away from herself entirely. Gaga dedicated the award to everyone who has suffered from alcoholism and addiction — and to those who have watched someone they love struggle. She explained that her goal in portraying the story was to show the truth and the heartbreaking dynamic of addiction with honesty and compassion. In one of the most powerful lines of the speech, she said the true star of the film was not her — it was bravery and perseverance. Her words resonated far beyond the ceremony. Rather than celebrating personal achievement alone, Gaga highlighted the courage it takes to battle addiction and the strength required to love someone through it. It was a reminder that art can reflect real pain — and real hope. #LadyGaga #CriticsChoiceAwards #AStarIsBorn #AddictionAwareness #Sobriety #RecoveryJourney #Bravery #Perseverance

the worst kind of hangman is addiction. i filmed this weeks ago and never posted bc i didn’t want to be the sad girl crying on the internet. but i am in fact, the sad girl crying whether its on or off the internet and i know theres other women out there in similar situations. you are not alone❤️ no matter how lonely it can feel- i see you and i feel your pain. addiction is real but so is the collateral damage. both deserve to be acknowledged. also, if you made it this far- it gets better. leaving is hard, but it gets better. love yourself more than the version of you that stayed too long. - #contentcreator #lifestyleblogger #relatable #fyp #addiction #addictionawareness #addictionisreal #startingover #addictionsucks

Nikki Glaser opens up about losing her cousin JD to alcoholism, reflecting on their close bond and her regrets about not being able to help him in time. 💔 “It’s a progressive illness… no one plans to end up that way. I saw where it could lead for me, and I knew I had to cut it off.” Her story is a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of addressing addiction early and reaching out for help. 💙 . 📸 @ritzrecoveryla #AddictionAwareness #SobrietyJourney #MentalHealthMatters #OvercomingAddiction #HealingTogether #RitzRecovery #RecoverySupport #alcoholismrecovery
