These rules are for routine basehit sand fly balls (not double cuts). 3. Only the first baseman and third baseman are th cuts to home. 2. The SS is ALWAYS the cut to 3B. 1. SS and 2B are the cuts to second. BONUS! If you’re a lefty, here’s the cheat code to picking runners off first base, with a twist! This is the Max Fried A move, it’s his best move, but it has nothing to do with making his delivery look like he’s going home. While that’s helpful, he was deceptive because of this one thing, his head movement. By moving your head and looking at the runner the runner will instictly go back to 1B, then when you look home he will think he’s in the clear to get a secondary. And that’s when you pick him off.
