JOWalking my beloved Kloof Street, one of the first places in Cape Town that stole my heart. It's a place with so many cool boutiques and decor places and part of the #DesignTrail for @decorexafrica. JODecor shopping with our three year old this morning @blockandchisel and I learned so much from this little one. She already has quiet an opinion on decor and rearranged the pillows on the bed in the store as she wanted them to have the same ones we have in our home. She loved the quirky elements and the animal figurines and insisted we sing Buffalo Soldier to the one little buffalo on display... She swears he smiled at her. PIBeautifully Modern, Large & Slim-Profiled Cupboard — Lockable With Key | R10850
This beautiful, contemporary cupboard with a majestic presence, has been finished in a softly-textured, creamy-beige contemporary and high-end “Frenchic” finish.
It has been very well-made, and has all the simple, modern design proportions you could wish for, balanced with finer details such as a lovely scalloped base and an outswept cornice.
If you don’t require bedroom wardrobes and more clothing storage, consider using it as either a TV or linen cupboard, or pantry — which I do feel it’s quite suited to, due to the shallowness of the shelves (allowing you to not have to “dig” for items that you can’t see).
The black metal escutcheon detail on the panelled door receives a key (not shown in photos) to unlock and open to reveal an interior space with holders for a hanging rail above, and two shelves below.

Condition: sturdy and in excellent condition but please note this is lightly preloved. There are a few small, light scuffs to the surface in places (see photos) which adds to its very light “Frenchic” charm.

PI💟 SOLD (00541) | Take One OR Both : Vintage-Bases Wing Chairs with New Ticking-Stripe Slipcovers — with Oak Legs
We all know that wingbacks are THE most comfortable chairs to sit in... but they can sometimes be a bit difficult to blend into a contemporary home :
👉 Which is why I have chosen this classic, striped Ticking fabric for these beauties' relaxed slip covers (with a piping detail), AND have additionally incorporated a design which has left the oak legs "half exposed" : they’re now perfectly “up-to-date” to effortlessly fit into a modern -- or traditional -- style of home.
The bases are important to highlight, as, being vintage, they are super strong (and they have also been freshly covered in a cream base fabric, which is smart enough to use occasionally on the days the covers are in the wash).
The half-exposed straight oak legs below are wonderful in that they have a lovely ribbed detail that visually allows the stripe detail from the ticking covers above to extend down into them. A nice touch that elevates the overall look.

Excellent and sturdy bases : covers and slipcovers are new, but please note the bases beneath are lightly pre-loved. Fabric of covers has been pre-washed to prevent shrinkage.
