Club Path Drill Limited on resources and want to work on your path? All you need is three balls, and all you need to do is surround your target ball with the other two. If you’re right handed and want to work on an out-to-in path, place the top ball just left of the target ball and place the bottom ball just right of the target ball. For working on in-to-out path, place the top ball just right of the target ball and the bottom ball just left of target ball. For left handed golfers, vice versa. It’ll force you to avoid the non target balls without being too technical and thinking about positions. Just worry about hitting the middle ball!

Everyone meet Dave. Dave came for a couple lessons last season. Unfortunately, life got in the way a little bit and he couldn’t enjoy the entire last year of golf. We had our first lesson of the year yesterday and he is BACK 🤝 @trackmangolf IO @mulligans.virtualgolf is great because I can have his swing on video and show him exactly what positions we are looking to get into and also show him the key data points I want him to understand. For example, Trackman calculates face angle and he now knows what that means. Halfway through the lesson he got curious about how far he should be hitting his 7 iron. I told let’s look at club speed. I said, “you’re at 40.5 mph, I believe you can get to 42.” BOOM gets to 47 mph after that discussion and then we dived into feeling a shorter finish. Let’s hit the brakes on the way forward and apply force at the ball. He started to gain confidence and in less than 30 minutes he reached 50.5 mph club speed. We also discussed how speed should be trained. So his assignment now is 15 minutes a week of speed work in the back yard. We don’t care where the ball goes, swing fast and hit the brakes. I emphasized the importance of listening to our bodies in order to avoid injury throughout those speed sessions which is why the assignment is only 15 minutes of speed work a week. Build slow, great results will come over time. Lastly, we cleaned up his set up and we got his trail arm higher in the back swing. Next lesson is in two weeks!! As we continue to improve his technique that will also help with distance.. 💪🏽 | golf | women in golf | pga |
