끝없는 겨울이 내려앉은 낯선 저택, 한 소년이 세 명의 여인과 새 한 마리와 함께 갇혀 있습니다. 새로운 인물이 등장하면서 소년은 자신의 욕망과 타인의 욕망을 처음으로 마주하게 되죠. 어린 시절의 끝과 선망을 담은 이 3분짜리 이야기는, 대사 한 마디 없이도 많은 것을 말합니다. 🪟
이 작품을 만든 건 고블랭 애니메이션 학교 2023년 졸업생 세 명, Antoine Dahan, Clément Delaby, Rayan Takhedmit로 구성된 콜렉티브 Clavel입니다. 음악은 80년대부터 프랑스에서 컬트적 존재감을 가진 작곡가 Arnold Turboust가 맡았는데요, 시와 언어로 유희하는 그의 감성이 Clavel의 색채와 그림체와 아주 잘 어울립니다. 세 감독 모두에게 이번이 첫 연출 데뷔작이라는 사실이 놀랍죠. 🎨
프로듀서 Hélène Orjebin은 이들의 졸업작을 2023년 안시 페스티벌에서 처음 보고 경악했다고 밝혔습니다. 그 인연으로 탄생한 이 작품은 2025 안시 국제 애니메이션 페스티벌 커미션 필름 부문 공식 경쟁에 선정되었는데요, 세 감독은 현재 Les Monstres와 함께 차기 단편 프로젝트도 개발 중입니다. 앞으로의 행보가 더 기대되는 팀이죠. ✨
📍Les Lettres de Krakovie (크라코비에서 온 편지)
엄밀히는 단편 애니메이션이라기보다 뮤직비디오 형식의 애니메이션. 프랑스 가수 Arnold Turboust의 곡에 맞춰 제작된 작품.
