Follow for daily knowledge videos. A tiny shake that makes a massive difference in strength. This is why vibration is important in concrete pillar making: when fresh concrete is poured into a mold, it naturally traps air bubbles and creates gaps between the cement, sand, and gravel. If left alone, these pockets make the pillar weak, prone to cracks, and less durable. By using mechanical vibrators, engineers shake the concrete just enough to let trapped air escape and help the mixture settle evenly. The vibration also ensures that the cement paste fully coats every piece of aggregate, filling tiny gaps and creating a dense, solid structure. This makes the pillar stronger, longer-lasting, and able to handle heavy loads without breaking.
