JEMy home studio room is getting a much-needed makeover 🌿🌼
When we moved into our house, all of my art supplies got haphazardly tossed into this room, along with a makeshift desk.
I told myself it was only temporary until I did something more thoughtful with the space, but 4 years later and it was still a bit of a chaos zone, with cracks in the walls and crying out for a fresh coat of paint.
Until last weekend when the ideas for its transformation finally started to click in place, and I am so excited for it to become the sanctuary I’m dreaming of.
The door frame was painted with some of my favourites that grow in our garden: cosmos, honeysuckle and lily of the valley, to make it feel like springtime even on the long winter days.
It was actually my first time painting a mural-type thing in our house and I think I’ve quickly fallen in love and might need to do more.
Should I paint the inner panels next? Or just leave it as is? Can’t decide!
