Every small action an idol takes online can be scrutinized and quickly spread. A single like, comment, or share that seems harmless can easily become a topic of debate on the Internet.
This is especially true for the members of BTS, particularly V. Since acquiring his personal Instagram account and becoming one of the most-followed K-pop idols on the platform, every move he makes has been under the spotlight.
Two incidents involving V’s Instagram have previously caused major social media stir: one time when he α¢¢ι∂єитally followed Jennie due to Instagram’s “suggested accounts” feature, and another involving the account of T.O.P (BIGBANG). Although V unfollowed immediately in both cases and hinted that it was a mistake, he still faced considerable negative criticism from the public.
