This is the place where the Walk for Peace first began—the home temple of Bhikkhu Pannakara and Aloka. Standing once again before his Master and Teacher, Venerable Ratanaguṇa, Bhikkhu Pannakara was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears of joy filled his eyes as he bowed in deepest reverence. It was a moment of pure, heartfelt homecoming—a student returning to repay the debt of gratitude to the one who has provided him with boundless love, guidance, and wisdom. It’s something we practice, person by person. Aloka, the peace dog, needs a bit more rest right now, so he’ll be riding in the warmth of the RV during the day, and rejoining the monks each night.
