_WYour camera doesn't need to be as high resolution as your think in order to create a high quality print. The high megapixel cameras that are available now already can create very high resolution prints while maintaining a higher pixel density than the print itself, but that doesn't even take viewing distance into account. If you view a print from a couple feet away, your ability to perceive the quality of the image is lower, so you can get away with a lower quality print without it being noticeable. Because of this, we can make massive prints from images captured on most modern cameras. 45 megapixels is not a requirement.

DRRescuing a piece of family history by bringing it full circle: Analog ➡️ Digital ➡️ Analog. 🛑📸
When I found this medium format negative of my mom, I knew I wanted to handle the scanning process myself. Instead of outsourcing it to a lab, I digitized it right on my desk using my DSLR. Once I processed the RAW file, I sent it straight to the Canon SELPHY CP1300 to get a physical dye-sublimation print back in my hands. There is nothing quite like watching those color layers build up in real-time.
