- Hold steady. You don’t need to be zooming your camera all around, especially at night. Focus on one scene and slowly walk to get a steady, beautiful video.
- Go up. I love going into the tallest building around to shoot lights from above
- Use props - hold a cup of hot chocolate or gluhwein mug to create a cool bokeh effect
- Shoot just after sunset. Blue hour gives the lights the perfect twinkle, but there’s still enough light outside to capture the scene
