The first time it hit me, I thought I was just broken. I had no idea it had a name. Now, pregnant again, I know what it is - I’m talking about it out loud - so another mother doesn’t have to suffer in silence. Postpartum rage isn’t a weakness, it is not a reflection of you as a mother - it’s a sign you need help and support, not more shame. If you’re struggling, asking for help is the bravest thing you can do. 🤍 #ppr #postpartumrage #angrymom #maternalmentalhealth #ppd #ppa #pnd #momsmentalhealth #postpartumjourney #postpartumsupport #youmatter #postpartumdepression #postpartumanxiety #postpartumrage #lifewithlittles #perinatalmentalhealth #raisingtinyhumans #survivalmode #overwhelmedmom #burntoutmom #burntout #motherhoodunfiltered

Just a reminder… sometimes motherhood looks like this 🤍 You’re not weak. You’re human. Postpartum can feel lonely, overwhelming, and heavy—and so many moms go through it quietly. If this is you, you’re not alone. Save this for later or drop a 🤍 in the comments. #postpartumlife #newmomfeelings #motherhoodreal #mommentalhealth #postpartumsupport

“ I don’t like to feel that I’m bothering anyone”. That feeling is so real after postpartum—and it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. 🤍 After birth, your body is healing, your hormones are shifting, your identity feels tender, and your nervous system is on high alert. For me, that showed up as this quiet but heavy thought: “I don’t want to bother anyone. I’ll just deal with this alone.” This week in therapy, I finally said it out loud. And I was reminded that this feeling isn’t truth—it’s anxiety, exhaustion, and hormones talking. Here’s the truth, gently but clearly: • You are not a burden. • Your needs are not too much. • Wanting reassurance, help, or connection doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. Postpartum has a way of shrinking your voice if you’re not careful. It convinces you to stay quiet when what you actually need is support. That’s not humility—that’s exhaustion talking. To the moms who feel this too: you were never meant to do this alone. And God is not overwhelmed by your needs. He doesn’t see your asking as an interruption. He meets you there—and often, He sends people to help carry what you don’t have the strength to carry right now. #maternitylife #postpartumsupport #postpartummentalhealth #postpartumawareness

💤🌙✨ Postpartum brings a myriad of changes, and one commonly experienced yet less discussed phenomenon is night sweats. Wondering what they are, why they happen, and how to deal with them? Let’s dive in! 🤔 What are Postpartum Night Sweats? Postpartum night sweats are intense sweating episodes that usually occur during sleep but can occur at anytime, often leaving new parents drenched. It’s a normal physiological response as the body eliminates excess fluids retained during pregnancy. 💡 Why Do They Happen? Hormonal fluctuations, particularly the rapid drop in estrogen and progesterone after childbirth, play a key role. Additionally, the body works to shed the extra fluid retained during pregnancy, contributing to increased perspiration. 🌡️ How to Deal with Postpartum Night Sweats? 1. Stay Hydrated: Replenish lost fluids by staying well-hydrated throughout the day. 2. Breathable Fabrics: Opt for lightweight, breathable sleepwear and bedding to enhance comfort. 3. Cooling Environment: Keep the bedroom cool and well-ventilated to regulate body temperature. 4. Frequent Bedding Changes: Have extra sheets on hand for quick changes during the night. 5. Self-Care Rituals: Establish calming bedtime routines to promote relaxation before sleep. Remember, postpartum night sweats are a temporary phase, but if you find them persisting or affecting your well-being, consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice. 👩‍⚕️ Seeking Support? Postpartum isn’t always easy. It’s not always what you anticipated. It isn’t always 🌈 and 🦋. In some cases it’s a surprising & confusing struggle to control emotions, dealing with increased irritability & what feels like standing on the edge of an anger cliff, where even the slightest disturbance can set you off the edge. For too long women have been told postpartum rage is just a part of the postpartum transition, that hormonal transitions can make us feel more “emotional” so we’ll just have to deal with it. Ladies, this is not our only story. Depletions + imbalances, physically & hormonally, can contribute to postpartum rage- & as midwives we have seen countless times what supporting a mom’s system systemically does for recovery. On top of supportive measures like mindfulness practices, communicating needs, talk therapy, a focus on regaining sleep + nourishing the body with whole foods + targeted supplementation, etc, one item we often recommend to our clients is the homeopathic: Staphysagria. This kinda-hard-to-pronounce-homeopathic is a great one to have on hand for supporting postpartum rage that feels impulsive & *big.* We often recommend starting with 3 pellets under the tongue every couple hours for the first week, & again when experiencing symptoms- & assessing from there. Sometimes there is a bit of a “detox” of feeling weepy the first few days of taking it, but many of our moms report the feelings of rage dissipating soon after. This can be a helpful tool in your toolbox, & while usually not a lone soldier in treatment, a helpful member of the team! ——————————————— On top of this recommendation, we have curated our favorite postpartum supplements that support you both physically & emotionally. We brought all of our best recommendations into one helpful guide including dosing, sourcing, and beyond— all with a focus on physical & mental health. This is for the mama’s who don’t want to be done but know that you can’t do it again. For the moms who grieve not having the best postpartum’s and feel robbed of what you wanted it to be. For the ones who were overcome with so much anxiety and depression that it literally terrifies you to ever go back there because you almost didn’t make it out alive. Give yourself permission to grieve it, feel it, maybe even be angry about it. I see you. I feel you. I am you. 🩷 #postpartum #postpartumjourney #postpartumsupport #postpartumanxiety #postpartumdepression #mentalhealth #postpartumpsychosis

The Fourth Trimester: Life Outside the Womb A transition guide 🤍 Your baby didn’t arrive “ready”. They arrived expecting the womb. The fourth trimester isn’t about schedules, sleep training or “getting back to normal.” It’s about finishing the pregnancy on the outside. For your baby: • Your arms replace the womb • Your heartbeat regulates their nervous system • Your presence is their safety For you: • Rest isn’t optional, it’s biological repair • Emotional fragility isn’t weakness, it’s neurological recalibration • You are not meant to “bounce back” you are meant to bond forward This season asks for slowness, softness and support. When we honour the fourth trimester, we reduce overwhelm, feeding stress, anxiety and burnout, for both of you. This isn’t indulgence. It’s foundational. Save this. Share it with a new mum. Because how we support the beginning shapes everything that comes after..
