Two of my football guys Zay Dougan and JJ getting real work in. We opened with a dynamic warm-up focusing on hip mobility and elasticity before hitting 8 × 30m acceleration sprints to build true football speed. From there we moved into reactive plyometrics — fast box jumps eliminating ground contact time and alternating landings to build explosive reactivity. Then we layered in single-leg plate pogos into lateral bounds, followed by a rotational hex drill to train body control, balance, and change-of-direction mechanics. Finished with lateral hurdle tuck jumps holding a med ball into double broad jumps, then med ball slams and rotational slams to develop violent power through the core. After the field work we headed upstairs for strength with Coach Shaudd: pause bench, single-arm KB rows, slant board goblet squats, and plate-elevated reverse lunges. Speed. Power. Control. These young men show up every session with one objective: to become more explosive, improve balance, and master the ability to generate, absorb, and redistribute force while under control. 🏃🏾‍♂️⚡️ We follow specific training protocols to ensure everything we do translates directly to their sport and position, not just looking good in a workout. I’m extremely proud of them. Some already hold Division I scholarships with high school football still left to play, yet they work every day as if they have nothing. That hunger can’t be taught. 🔥 None of us are perfect. We all need prayer, guidance, and continued development—but I’m thankful to be part of a village that wants to get better and believes that through God all things are possible. 🙏🏾 Grateful to serve.
