The Pentagon on Tuesday identified the four American troops killed in the opening hours of the war as Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida; Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; and Spc. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa, died Saturday in Kuwait from an Iranian drone attack.

🇮🇷🇺🇸The US Department of Defense has released the names and photos of the first four service members of the 103rd MTO Command who died as a result of an Iranian kamikaze drone strike on the command post in Shuayba port in Kuwait on March 1st. ▪️Captain Cody A. Horch. ▪️Sergeant 1st Class Noah L. Titgens. ▪️Sergeant 1st Class Nicole M. Amor. ▪️Sergeant Declan J. Coady. According to the department's statement, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. According to CBS, citing three US military officials, the command post where all six officially recognized dead service members were killed did not have adequate protection measures. Despite the fact that additional protection measures were requested, they were not provided. The only means of protection around the command post were T-shaped walls. According to one of the sources, at the moment of the drone strike, there were no air defense systems nearby, and the Kuwaiti anti-aircraft guns located nearby probably did not participate in repelling the attack.

Four U.S. service members identified among six killed in drone attack in Kuwait The U.S. Army has confirmed the identities of four of the six service members who were killed during the conflict with Iran after a drone struck a port facility in Kuwait on Sunday. According to the U.S. Army Reserve Command, the victims have been identified as Capt. Cody A. Khork, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, and Sgt. Declan J. Coady. Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, from West Des Moines, Iowa, enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2023. Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, joined the National Guard in 2005 and transferred to the Army Reserve in 2006. She previously deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in 2019. Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, from Bellevue, Nebraska, served as a wheeled vehicle mechanic after joining the Army Reserve in 2006. Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida, enlisted in the National Guard in 2009 and was commissioned as a military police officer in the Army Reserve in 2014. Military officials said the identities and circumstances surrounding the other two U.S. service members killed have not yet been released, as the investigation into the drone strike on the Kuwaiti port continues.
