WOAt least we (almost) always had the right sail on board for the (sometimes) “wrong” wind.
Even though we had five different sails on board for our trip from Kiel to Stockholm, we slightly regretted not bringing the symmetrical spinnaker as well — it would have been the perfect fit more than once on the way up.

BOJust me, the North Sea and my 42 year old trailer sailer out for a winter sail. I’m on a beat back after doing a 7Nm down wind leg with the spinnaker. I got a little carried away. I know better than to do the easy leg first but I couldn’t resist. Slight bit of weather helm but the st2000 tiller pilot is going good. Nice wave angle but soon as I tacked off I had to double reef the main to manage the ‘beam on’ sea. Funny how the boat can be happy on one tack and not the other.
