I must start with the resort — so beautiful, so amazing, so relaxing, and so fun! ✨🏝️ It truly felt like a dream getaway from start to finish. The views were breathtaking, the atmosphere was peaceful, and every moment felt like pure vacation mode. 😌🌊
From enjoying the stunning surroundings to making unforgettable memories, this trip was everything and more. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐➕
Five stars PLUS! I would absolutely do it all over again. 💫✈️

ASA recap on my recent stay at the @westinanaheim… super impressed by this property, for a few reasons:
🎢 This hotel is so close to @disneyland & @californiaadventurepark that is has views overlooking the park—which means a perfect place to catch the nightly fireworks.
💪🏻 There is a big focus on wellness, with a huge gym, a cool gear lending program, and more.
🌴 They have a pretty resort-style pool, with cabanas and even a smaller pool area with water pressure spouts!
🍽️ The food is incredible, from their main @tangerineroomrestaurant to room service and all the other outlets, plenty of dishes that are both tasty and healthy.
👩🏻💼 Their service is top notch! You know their training is on-point when every staff member you meet genuinely engages with you. Kudos to the team for creating that sort of environment.
All in all, loved this property! It’s also less than two years old, so it still has the new property freshness to it!
If you’re planning a trip to Anaheim to visit the parks, this is HIGH on my recommendation list. (Oh and they can also help you buy tickets too.)

PALittle recap from our day at @bonnetspringspark’s Full Steam Ahead spring break programming DAY 1! 🥳🙌🏼🚂 In the words of my daughter: “I love how Bonnet Springs makes learning fun!!”
From rock climbing to foam blocks, inflatable basketball hoops, indoor sensory activities, a planetarium show, and allll the outdoor fun (musical story time, excavators, paper airplanes, and more!!), we had a BLAST. MEBack to reality and routine tomorrow, but first a #springbreak recap. Here are some of the highlights of where we spent the week in the 219 & beyond.
Friday: open gym at @famousathletics_ - we just moved to a new location so check their profile for upcoming workshops, sign ups, and tryouts.
Saturday: Easter bunny visit and doughnuts at @parlordoughnutsvalpo
Sunday: church at @valponaz followed by their Easter Jam. If you ever want to check out a service together, I’d love to meet you there.
Monday: @twistedsugar.in.valparaiso for a sweet treat and to sign up for their reading incentive. From here we hit up @portercolibrary to make their free craft and check out library books for the week.
Tuesday: open swim at @valpoymca followed by a tour of the @valparaisofire department. After this we hit the McDonalds play place for a bonus hour of entertainment for the kiddos. We had dinner with our neighbors and watched some of the Eras tour before bedtime.
Wednesday: Riley met some friends from cheer at @urbanairmerrillville. We had gift cards from birthdays and Christmas saved up to visit over Spring Break. This night the kids stayed the night at Nana’s so the parents could have a dinner date night at @bonviehobart
Thursday: picked up a few friends and we headed out to @mascothall. I’ll share more on this place soon, but it’s a cute interactive children’s museum all about mascots and it’s not far from home in Whiting, IN.
Friday: we went to @yourstrulybathco for a bath bomb painting workshop. This was so fun for the kids! For just $10 they got to choose their own bath bomb, paint it, and take it home for bath time. After this we went to @creme.de.la.crop for their first goat walking day of the season. (More on this to come too!) From here we headed to Sunset Hill Park in Valpo for a picnic lunch and to checkout their new playground.
Saturday: we ventured to Chicago to @americangirlbrand Chicago. This truly requires its own post, so more on this to come!
Sunday: Happy Easter 🐰🐣 ✝️ He is Risen and the bunny stopped by. Church at @valponaz followed by a big family Easter.
Monday: the last day of Spring Break. We rested 😆😴

Aber abgesehen von etwaigen Flunkyballverstrickungen waren unsere #Volontärinnen und #Volontäre Anne (@anne__venture), Lukas (@lukaschmier) und Bobo (@bobokles) auch bei #Soundchecks dabei, stellten im MDR News Camp #Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten des MDR vor und führten vor allem viele spannende #Gespräche mit den Festivalgästen vor Ort. Denn bekanntlich funktioniert #Journalismus nicht nur vom Schreibtisch aus!
Das Learning vom Festival machte sich beim Interview direkt bemerkbar: Auch eine quirlige und vor allem laute Menschentraube auf dem Campingplatz bringt unsere @mdrvolos so schnell nicht durcheinander! 😎
