MEWant to pipe textured royal icing leaves without a piping tip? Try this easy cookie decorating hack! 🍃Fill your piping back with a thick piping consistency royal icing so your leaves hold their shape. Flatten the tip of your piping bag with the seam facing up. Take your scissors and cut upwards at an angle on one side of the seam, doing the same to the other side- start small, you can always cut more. To pipe your leaves, squeeze your piping bag from the top using constant pressure and a back and forth motion to give some movement to the leaves. Now you can add leaves to all your Spring cookies and sweet treats without having to add a piping tip! 🥕

Roll sugar cookie dough into small balls, position 5 together, and give a gentle squish down in the middles and add a pastel spring (or any color) M&M, bake and enjoy!
You can use any sugar cookie recipe, my egg-free recipe that is my go too is saved to my highlights. You could use store brought too!
Tip: If you have a hard time making the dough balls an even size, you can use a small circle cookie cutter to get them even

Spring cookies
(DF, V options)
Ingredients for 25 cookies
250g all purpose flour
160g butter/ vegan butter (stick)
110g sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
Lemon zest
2 egg yolks/ 1 tbsp plant milk for V
Edible flowers to decorate 🌼🌸*
*make sure you are using EDIBLE flowers (I used pansies, rosemary flowers and rose petals).
Place butter, sugar, salt, vanilla and lemon zest in a stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment.
Mix until well combined.
Add egg yolks and mix to combine. Add flour and mix until smooth. Transfer to a clean surface and shape dough into a disc. Wrap dough and refrigerate for at least 30 min.
Preheat oven to 170C degrees.
Roll out dough to 8mm and use a cookie cutter to make cookies. Use some water or egg white to stick edible flowers on the cookies.
Bake for 15 minutes.

WEI saw flurries this morning so I made spring cookies to put that spring energy into the air 🫠😩🤣 hope it works. Recipe below!
Brown butter cadbury egg cookies 🍫🪺🍪
ingredients::
•2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
•1 cup sugar
•1/2 cup brown sugar
•2 eggs
•1 tablespoon vanilla extract
•2 cups flour
•3/4 teaspoon baking soda
•1 teaspoon salt
•1 cup mini chocolate chips or 1/2 cup regular chocolate chips
•1 cup crushed mini cadbury eggs (I mixed dark & light)
directions:
•preheat the oven to 350 F.
•Brown butter over medium heat. Once it begins to turn brown, remove from heat.
•Allow butter to cool. Once cooled stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
•In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
•Once the wet and dry ingredients are combined, then fold in chocolate chips and Cadbury eggs
•Scoop out dough and roll the dough into balls with your hands
•3-4 minutes left add some additional eggs on top and place back in the oven
•bake for 10-12 mins
