Study SMARTER, not harder or longer! ✅🏆💯👩🏽‍🎓 - The Hack? 📕 Active Recall + Spaced Repetition 📕 1️⃣ Revise or learn content through techniques that requires you to retrieve information when prompted, without reading/looking at your notes. Examples include: Flashcards, Blurting, Practice Questions. 2️⃣ Review this content at regular, increasing intervals. For example: Say you learn something in class that day. You would then review the content… —> when you get home from school —> again that weekend —> the weekend after —> in a fortnight —> in a month —> in 3 months. This combo is one of the most EFFICIENT ways to study, and will help you learn & remember content SO much faster, and for way longer too 🤓🤓🤓 - #studysmarter #studysmart #studyskills #studyhacks #studytips #student #studentlife #topscorer #goodgrades #topstudent #schoolmemes #schoolife #studentproblems #ATAR #VCE #HSC

5 ways I work smarter not harder as a student Honestly used to think I had to spend 8+ hours in the library to get good grades but I’ve realised it’s way more about how you work than how long you work for Here are some things that have genuinely saved me so much time: 1. Time blocking Set specific 2-3 hour blocks to work with zero distractions. Phone in another room, no random tabs open, just fully focused on one task. I get so much more done in 3 focused hours than 8 hours of half-working half-scrolling 2. Active recall only Stopped re-reading notes endlessly because it’s genuinely such a waste of time - your brain just recognises info, doesn’t actually remember it. I only do practice questions, flashcards (Anki), and blurting now. Feels harder but that’s because you’re actually learning 3. Prioritise high-impact work A 5% assignment doesn’t need the same effort as a 40% one. I use past papers to work out what actually gets tested and focus 80% of my time there instead of trying to make everything perfect. Be strategic about where you put your energy! 4. Break tasks into tiny steps Instead of writing “essay” on my to-do list I write “find 3 sources on Google Scholar” or “draft introduction”. Having zero ambiguity about what to do next makes it so much easier to actually start instead of just staring at my list procrastinating 5. Do hardest thing first Tackle the worst task when you first sit down to work. Your brain has the most energy then and once it’s done everything else feels easier. If you leave hard stuff until later you just spend the whole day dreading it which wastes so much mental energy The whole point is getting better results in less time so you actually have a life outside uni! It’s not about working harder or longer hours, it’s about being efficient with the time you do work Let me know if you try any of these:) #studytips #productivity #worksmarter #universitytips #studysmarter

You spend over 13,000 hours in school… but no one teaches you how to truly learn. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or behind — this is a gentle system to help you study one whole chapter in just 1 hour, with calm focus and real understanding. No guilt. No cramming. Just steady clarity. And if you follow me, I’ll help you build a rhythm where you won’t even need last-minute panic sessions again 🫶 ✨ 1-Hour Chapter Study Method: 🧠 Step 1: Ask ChatGPT to simplify (2 mins) Prompt it with: “Act like a top student and study coach. Break down [chapter name] into key concepts, examples, short summaries, and 5 test questions. I only have 1 hour.” 📖 Step 2: Read + Listen mindfully (20 mins) Skim through the breakdown while reading your textbook. Read aloud if it keeps you present — let it feel like a conversation. 🎥 Step 3: Watch a summary video (10 mins) Search: “[chapter name] + summary” on YouTube. Let someone walk you through the core ideas. 🗺 Step 4: Sketch a mindmap (10 mins) Not for aesthetics — just to see connections. Loose, messy, visual. Let your brain breathe. 🗣 Step 5: Teach it in your own words (15 mins) No notes. Just talk it through like you’re helping a friend. If you get stuck, the gaps show you what to revisit. 🌿 Final: Close your eyes, breathe, walk through the ideas again (3 mins) Let it settle in. You’ve done enough. One hour. Not perfect, but powerful. And the more you practice this, the lighter it’ll feel. Watch yourself turn into a focused, academic WEAPON with these focus hacks 🧠✅👩🏽‍🎓 - THE HACKS: 1️⃣ Study Timelapse - film a Timelapse of yourself studying. Super motivational, providing a “main character” moment where you won’t want to get distracted to use your phone as it’ll ruin the Timelapse 📸 . 2️⃣ Pomodoro Technique - 25min study, 5min break. Repeat × 4 then take a 15-20min break. Will revolutionise the way you work, how efficient you are, and your focus ⏰ . 3️⃣ App Limits - a feature of iOS, where you set a max limit of time you can spend on certain apps (e.g. 1 hour on TikTok) after which you cannot access the app until tomorrow ⏳ . 4️⃣ Scheduled Downtime - another feature of iOS, which allows you to schedule time during the day/week where only certain apps can be used (e.g. apps for learning) and others are blocked (e.g. social media) - #studyhacks #studytips #productivityhacks #studentproblems #productivitytips #studysmarter #focushacks #studymotivation #studygram #ATAR #VCE #HSC #student

These "normal" habits are why your grade isn't moving 👇 1️⃣ Highlighting your textbook. You're colouring in, not learning. Your brain remembers what it retrieves, not what it reads over in yellow. 2️⃣ Revising micro and macro equally. 60% of your marks come from evaluation and application. If you're not practising those, you're revising the wrong thing. 3️⃣ Watching YouTube videos without testing yourself. It feels productive. But passive watching is not active learning. Can you explain it without the video? That's the test. 4️⃣ Rewriting notes in neater handwriting. Your notes already exist. Writing them again doesn't put them in your brain. Practising past papers does. 5️⃣ Leaving past papers until "you're ready." You'll never feel ready. The past papers are how you get ready. Start them now, not two weeks before the exam. If your revision feels comfortable, it's probably not working. Real learning feels difficult. That's how you know it's sticking ✅ Comment "ECONOMICS" for your FREE A-Level Economics resources and check out our online courses 🎯 For over a decade, our experience in the education sector has enabled us to provide specialist advice for parents and students. For years, people think they have a bad memory. They don’t. They were just taught to memorize against how the brain actually works. Here’s the truth nobody explains in school: Your brain doesn’t store information like a hard drive. It stores it through emotion, imagery, and connection. That’s why you forget formulas… but remember embarrassing moments from 10 years ago. When you try to “mug up,” the brain resists. But when you turn information into a story, something powerful happens. Ridiculous. Illogical. Emotional stories activate: imagination visual memory associative thinking This is why linking theory works so well. The more absurd the connection, the deeper the memory sticks. This isn’t a trick. It’s how the brain enters a light flow state while learning. Once learning feels playful instead of forced, focus improves, recall improves, and studying stops feeling painful. Most people never learn this. They just blame their intelligence. Comment “SYSTEM” and I’ll send you the blueprint to train hyperfocus, memory, and learning flow. Make sure you’re following @flowmtrix so you can receive my DM. Disclaimer: This system doesn’t guarantee instant results. It requires adjustment, alignment, and consistency. But there is one thing that always guarantees progress: understanding how your own mind actually works. — #studysmarter #memorytechniques #flowstatelearning #brainbasedlearning #focussystem

Why are they gatekeeping the best study techniques of ALLL time?! ✅🧠🏆👩🏽‍🎓 - THE TECHNIQUES: 1️⃣ Active Recall - retrieve information when prompted without reading/looking at your notes (eg Flashcards, Blurting, Practice Questions), to force your brain to retain the information for next time, allowing you to remember and learn FASTER 🧠 . 2️⃣ SQ3R - to remember anything you read FAST, use the following steps: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review. Creating your own questions that you then answer when reading through the text makes it more engaging and memorable 🤓 . 3️⃣ Feynman Technique - learn the content, then teach it to someone who is unfamiliar with the topic (e.g. a child). Even better if you create a presentation & use analogies/diagrams/examples.This will highlight the areas you don’t fully understand, which you can go back to work on, and retry teaching until perfect 👩🏽‍🏫 . 4️⃣ Spaced Repetition - revise content at regular increasing intervals to remember it better. For example, once when you get home from school, then again that weekend, the next weekend, the next fortnight, the next month etc 📅 . 5️⃣ Timed Practice - do practice exams under full exam conditions (eg without notes, complete silence, reading time if applicable and no breaks), to help you most effectively prepare for exams ⏰ - #studytips #studysmarter #studyhacks #studymotivation #studentlife #students #schoollife #goodgrades #studygram #studyspo #studyspiration #topstudent #topgrades #studywithme #
