HEHow I decide what to charge for on Substack as someone who makes an extra $17,000 dollars a year writing on the platform in 9 months.
For me I think about it like this:
Free subscribers I want them to read my work and do one or two things: 1. Save the post 2. Share the post. I want them to see real value and refer back to it later. I want it to be worthwhile opening.
For paid subscribers I want them to think: wow I have an unfair advantage now because I have been given so much detail in this post and it is so useful I can immediately apply it to my life and business.
