แต่ในฐานะ “อาจารย์แพทย์” คนหนึ่ง อยากบอกความจริงที่คนนอกวงการอาจไม่เคยรู้
1️⃣เป็นเด็กเก่ง ≠เรียนหมอได้ดี : ความฉลาดคือแต้มต่อในการทำความเข้าใจเนื้อหาที่ซับซ้อน แต่ ”ความอึด“ คือของจริง เค้าจะต้องเจอกับความล้มเหลวซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าในชีวิต ตอนสอบตอนเรียนซึ่งถี่เกือบทุกสัปดาห์ สำคัญคือต้องลุกให้ไวแล้วไปต่อ
2️⃣ The cost of ”Time“: เรียนหมอรร.แพทย์รัฐเงินค่าเทอมอาจจะถูกกว่าเรียนสาขาอื่นด้วยซ้ำ แต่เค้าต้องแลก ”เวลาชีวิต“ ในช่วงวัยรุ่นไปกับการเรียนหนัก อยู่เวรและอ่านหนังสือ ในขณะที่เพื่อนรุ่นเดียวกันเริ่มมีอิสระ มีโอกาสหาประสบการณ์ชีวิตใหม่ๆ เรียนรู้การเงิน/การใช้ชีวิต
3️⃣ ความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ และResilience สำคัญมาก : การรักษาโรคใช้ความรู้ แต่การรักษาคนใช้ ”หัวใจ“ เค้าต้องรับมือกับความคาดหวัง ความเสียใจ และความตาย ซึ่งเป็นวิชาที่หนักหนาที่สุด
เราไม่ได้เรียนเพื่อเป็น ”เทวดาในชุดขาว“ แต่เราเรียนเพื่อเป็น ”มนุษย์ที่เก่งขึ้นในทุกวัน“ เพื่อไปช่วยเพื่อนมนุษย์คนอื่นต่อ
💡เพราะฉะนั้นความตั้งใจที่ต้องหนักแน่นระดับนี้ ไม่อาจอยู่ได้ตลอดเส้นทาง
ถ้าไม่ใช่ความต้องการของตัวน้องๆเอง
เชื่อว่าถ้าคุณพ่อคุณแม่เข้าใจสิ่งนี้ และพร้อมเป็น Support System ที่ไม่ใช่แค่เรื่องเงิน แต่เป็นเรื่องความเข้าใจ และส่ง ”พลังใจ“
