DE@texasbaseball freshman Sam Cozart has looked really good during his mid week starts. 5 innings, 1 hit, 0 walks, and 6 Ks yesterday. His Fastball grades at 107 Stuff, averaging ~94.5 mph topping at 96 with high IVB. He threw it 57% of the time, with 70% strikes, 48% whiff rate and 39% IZ whiff rate. He pairs it with a 100 Stuff+ Cutter that he throws at around 85-88 mph. Great at throwing strikes and missing barrels. Should be a great freshman campaign for Cozart.

CH⚾️ Speaking to media over the weekend, Longhorns baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle compared the atmosphere at Texas with the one at Texas A&M, where he coached last year.
"Well, the atmospheres are amazing... A&M is coordinated and together and when you coach there and play there, you truly feel the connection with the fans," Schlossnagle said. "Here, it's like a major league baseball playoff crowd, you don't have the yells and the different things at A&M, but the fans have such a tradition of winning here with so many great teams and so many great moments... that they know how to cheer, whether it be the second inning or the ninth."
