A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting some of my amazing Roundel team members and exploring Target HQ! The place is larger than life and everything I expected + more. Shamelessly, I kept telling everyone I met, I felt like I was at Disney World. Walking in is an experience itself but there are so many amenities like… a delicious and inclusive cafe, Starbucks with mobile ordering, real plants EVERYWHERE and a multitude of single and co-working spaces to accommodate all types of work environment needs. I found myself sitting on the 24th floor with a panoramic view of downtown Minneapolis humbled and grateful for this experience and opportunity.
I’m still in shock that I get to work for Target. I’m 6 weeks in and not only is every person I have met, both virtually and personally, a great human but the company truly cares about diversity and dignity of everyone. I have felt connections with teammates I’ve met once in person and even those I have only met virtually. Every day I open my email with a smile as Target floods in information about something new and exciting or shares stories about team members across the world and their efforts make it a better place. I know not each day will be sunshine but getting immersed and acclimated to the company in such a positive way will even make the hardest of days worth it.
