WEFirst Solar expected to benefit from steep U.S. anti-dumping tariffs on solar panel imports (FSLR, NXT, ARRY, SHLS, TAN)

First Solar shares rose 4.34% on Monday after the U.S. Commerce Department announced its long-awaited preliminary determination for anti-dumping tariffs on solar panel imports from Southeast Asia comprising more than 70% of U.S. solar panel imports.
The Commerce Department determined anti-dumping rates of 271.28% for Vietnam, 125.37% for Cambodia, 77.85% for Thailand, and 21.31% for Malaysia, with major manufacturers assigned specific rates.
Analyst Kashy Harrison from Piper Sandler called First Solar the primary beneficiary, maintaining an Overweight rating and raising the price target to $250.
Other solar industry players, including Nextracker, Array Technologies, and Shoals Technologies, are expected to face negative impacts.
