That’s not a meteor. That’s a planet. What you’re watching isn’t an extinction event. It’s a planetary reset. An object so large it’s visible from orbit before it hits. A rock bigger than a continent, travelling at 20 kilometres per second, with enough kinetic energy to vaporise every ocean on Earth simultaneously. The crater alone is wider than Australia. The crust doesn’t just crack — it liquefies. The mantle breaches the surface globally within hours. Every tectonic plate on Earth shifts simultaneously. The atmosphere is ejected into space like steam off a hot pan. There are no survivors. Not on Earth. Not in orbit. The shockwave travels through the planet itself, exits the other side, and launches debris into space at escape velocity. This is called a civilisation-ending impactor. Scientists have a scale for this — the Torino Scale. It goes from 0 to 10. 10 means this. WW3 ends civilisation. This ends the planet. #meteor #asteroid #space #science #ww3

☄️🌍💀 Asteroid Impact: When the Sky Falls to Earth 😱⚠️ It appears as a light… then everything ends. A massive asteroid enters Earth’s atmosphere — turning into a blazing fireball before impact unleashes unimaginable force. ☄️ Atmospheric Entry: Fireball tearing through the sky 💥 Impact Blast: Shockwave flattening everything nearby 🌪 Firestorm: Heat and pressure igniting the surroundings 🌫 Dust Cloud: Sky darkening after the collision ⚠ Global Effect: Shock felt far beyond the impact zone 💀 Extinction-Level Force: Energy beyond human scale 😨 Last Clip: The impact hits — pure planetary destruction This isn’t just a disaster. It’s the sky colliding with Earth. ⚠️ Hypothetical scenario — but real impacts have shaped Earth’s history. 💬 Would you watch the sky… or run for shelter? 👉 Follow @skullofearth for more of Earth’s most brutal, unfiltered moments. . . . #asteroid #impact #earthismetal #extreme #skullofearth

This asteroid might hit the moon and we might have to nuke it. No, seriously. Earlier this year, we thought this asteroid 2024 YR4 might be on track to hit Earth. Good news: It won’t. Bad news: it might now hit the moon. So, NASA just came out with a real proposal for what we could do if a lunar impact becomes more likely. Here are our options. Most people imagine a small rock, but the Chicxulub impactor was a monster roughly 10-15km (9 miles) wide. To put that in perspective, it was taller than Mount Everest and would dwarf most major city skylines. It slammed into Earth at 45,000 mph, hitting with the force of 100 million hydrogen bombs. The impact was so violent it punched a hole 20 miles deep into the crust and triggered 1-mile high tsunamis. #asteroid #space #science #knowledge #reels

In this video, you see how incredibly fast a meteor can enter Earth’s atmosphere. Most meteors travel between 11 and 72 kilometers per second. That means even a small rock from space can move faster than a bullet. If you were standing there, you would likely see a bright flash in the sky before you even understood what was happening. When a meteoroid enters the atmosphere, the air in front of it gets compressed and becomes extremely hot. This heat makes the object glow, creating what we call a meteor or “shooting star.” Many of these space rocks burn up completely before they ever reach the ground. However, if a piece survives the intense heat and pressure, it becomes a meteorite when it lands on Earth. The speed is what makes these events so powerful. Even a small object can release a large amount of energy because energy increases with the square of velocity. That means doubling the speed makes the impact much stronger. In rare cases, larger objects can create shock waves, bright fireballs, and even small impact craters. If you were standing there during such an event, you might first notice a sudden streak of light. Seconds later, you could hear a loud boom caused by the shock wave breaking the sound barrier. The whole event would happen in just moments, showing how fast and powerful space can be. Events like this remind us that Earth is constantly moving through space debris. Every day, tons of small particles enter our atmosphere, but most are harmless and burn up high above us. Still, seeing one this bright and this fast would be an unforgettable experience. #space #meteor #crash #asteroid #universe

☄️ The Dinosaur–Killer Asteroid: How MASSIVE Was It? 🦖 . About 66 million years ago, a colossal asteroid slammed into Earth near what is now the Yucatán Peninsula (Chicxulub crater) — triggering one of the most dramatic events in our planet’s history and wiping out around 75% of all species, including the dinosaurs. . • The asteroid was estimated to be between 10–15 km (6–9 miles) wide, making it enormous compared to everyday objects on Earth. . 🌍 Why it was so devastating: When this massive rock hit Earth: • It flung enormous amounts of dust and sulfur into the atmosphere, blocking sunlight and plunging the planet into a long, dark chill. . 🚀 Follow Space Fusion (@space_fusion_9384) for more space science facts, NASA & SpaceX mission updates, cosmic discoveries, and new space tech! 🌌✨ . #space #asteroid #science #astronomy #nasa

NASA has successfully achieved historic DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission, which successfully impacted its target on September 26, 2022. ‎ ‎They crashed a spacecraft into Dimorphos, a small "moonlet" orbiting a larger asteroid named Didymos. This was the world's first planetary defense mission, designed to see if we could change the orbit of an asteroid by hitting it with a spacecraft. ‎The impact occurred about 7 million miles (11 million km) away from Earth while the DART spacecraft was traveling at roughly 14,000 miles per hour (22,500 km/h) at the moment of impact. ‎ ‎follow us for more videos about Space @moneywoosh Media: NASA on YT #space #nasa #asteroid #curiosity #universe
