30 minute. Honey Bee-sting cake 🐝 🍯 Have you tried a German bee-string cake before? Flavoured with honey and almonds, this fluffy cake recipe is topped with sweet crunchy almond topping and filled with honey cream. Cake -5 eggs - 125g sugar - 2 tablespoon honey @wild.nectar.honey - 150g flour - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 80g almonds - Drizzling of honey - Filling Filling - 600g heavy cream - 6 tablespoon icing sugar - 2 tablespoon honey Method 1. Whisk together the eggs and sugar in a bowl for 10 minutes until light and foamy. Add honey and keep whisking. 2. Sift in the flour and baking powder and fold through using a spatula. Keep folding until no flour lumps appear. Top with almonds and a light drizzle of honey. Don’t add too much as it won’t rise. Bake at 170C for 30-35 minutes. 3.Whisk together the cream, honey and icing sugar together to stiff peaks. Once the cake is cool, cut it in half and add the cream in between. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving. Enjoy! #cake #cakedecorating #easter #baking #honey #beesting #bienenstich #german

✨BIENENSTICH ✨ Zutaten 130 ml Milch 60 g Zucker 1 Päckchen Trockenhefe 380 g Mehl 1 Ei 50 g Butter 1 Prise Salz Topping: 80 g Butter 80 g Zucker 30 ml Milch 50 g Honig 100 g Mandelsplitter Für die Pudding Füllung: 700 ml Milch 100 g Zucker 2 Päckchen Vanillepudding 200 g Butter (Zimmertemperatur) Zubereitung Für den Hefeteig Milch Zucker und Hefe miteinander verrühren. Mehl, Butter, Ei und Salz in die Mischung geben und alles zu einem glatten Teig verkneten. Den Hefeteig zugedeckt an einem warmen Ort ca.1 Stunde gehen lassen. Nach der Ruhezeit den Hefeteig durchkneten und auf rund 26-28 cm Durchmesser ausrollen. Den Teig anschließend in eine gefettete Springform geben und abgedeckt etwa 30 Minuten ruhen lassen. Für das Mandel-Topping Butter mit Zucker, Milch und Honig in einem Topf aufkochen und etwa 2 Minuten bei niedriger Hitze köcheln lassen. Mandeln unterrühren und 10 Minuten abkühlen lassen. Das Mandel-Topping löffelweise auf dem Hefeteig verteilen und im vorgeheizten Backofen Umluft bei 160 Grad ca. 25-30 Minuten backen, bis die Kruste goldbraun ist. Für die Pudding Füllung eine Puddingcreme aus Milch, Zucker und Vanillepuddingpulver herstellen, in eine Schüssel umfüllen und mit Frischhaltefolie abdecken, Butter schaumig schlagen, den abgekühlten Pudding löffelweise unterrühren bis die Creme glatt ist und die Mischung 30 Minuten kaltstellen. Die Puddingcreme mit einem Spritzbeutel oder einem Löffel auf dem unteren Kuchenboden verteilen. Den Kuchendeckel mit Mandeln in 10-12 Stücke vorschneiden, auf die Creme legen und leicht andrücken. Vor dem Servieren für ca. 2 Stunden in den Kühlschrank stellen. #bienenstich #hefekuchen #yummy ##biene #instagram

Search “Beesting cake” on taste.co.za or find the recipe below. 🍽️ 6-8 🥣 20 minutes, plus 1–2 hours’ chilling time ⏲️ 35 minutes 📌 Ingredients For the custard: 4 T custard powder 40 g sugar 2 cups milk For the pecan layer: 100 g coarsely chopped pecans ¼ cup honey 100 g brown sugar 115 g butter For the cake batter: 3 large free-range eggs 150 g sugar 1/4 cup plain yoghurt 125 g butter 1/2 cup milk 1 t essence 180 g flour 2 t baking powder 📌 Method 1. Make the custard according to package instructions for a thick custard. Place in the fridge to cool. The custard will set very thick. 2. Preheat the oven to 180°C. To make the pecan topping, place the pecans, honey, sugar and butter in a saucepan over a medium heat and stir until the honey and sugar have dissolved and the butter has melted. Pour into a greased 20–22 cm cake tin and set aside. 3. To make the cake batter, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Gently stir in the yoghurt and vanilla. Sift the flour and baking powder, then fold in gently. Heat the milk and butter, then stir in vanilla. Whisk into the batter. 4. Pour the batter over the pecan mixture. Bake for 40 minutes, then allow to cool slightly. Invert onto a plate, spooning over any remaining topping. Set aside to cool.5. To assemble, slice the cooled cake in half horizontally. Blend the cooled custard using a food processer or hand blender until smooth. Spread the custard onto the bottom layer of cake. Carefully add the top layer.
