MIYesterday was Rare Disease Day, so I thought I’d share a little bit about Behçet’s 💛 I think the hardest thing about autoimmune diseases is the inconsistency. You can be top of the world one day, then literally can’t get out of bed the next. It’s also super uncomfortable to talk about symptoms/flare up’s with people because it feels like you’re always complaining (at least for me.) But this disease has also kept my pridefulness in check - relying on God and asking for help from folks when I need it 🙏🏻 Comment below if you’ve ever heard of Behçet’s or you also suffer from a rare disease 💋💋

SPLong drive but I had tofu so I put tofu packs on my face for the pain and swelling - it helped a bit!!!
Sorry for the split between shots!!! We were just talking about that crazy canal and how it turned out so well!!! I am in so much pain and I am sure it will get worse bc I lost so much tooth structure here my 1st molar had to be clamped and it chopped up my gums (#behcets … nooooo!!!) but so far, so good just visually!!! Good news for the other tooth w/any luck! Back in two weeks to tackle the other gnarly tooth (not like this is CRAZY INFECTED OR ANYTHING … oh wait!!) … resting now bc it was a LONG day. #rootcanaltreatment #toothnumber29 #rootcanalnumber12 #proudoftheprecision by EVERYONE who has ever touched my roots … so maybe #notapatient there … now? That makes me sad too though. And was I “supposed” to do this like … years ago??? I couldn’t bet on either. bc I was kind of left in the dust…. I still cry about it!! Like “sorry, you have to wait SEVEN MONTHS UNTIL WE EVEN GET NEAR THAT TOOTH THAT IS CAUSING YOU SUCH INSANE PAIN!” …. Ugh. 😣
I have learned a lot from the best over the years. *scary Beth wink if I could!* 😉 😉 Imma have to start shadowing someone….

🌸Tudo bem ter medo! Também tive quando descobri que precisaria usar essa medicação
🌸Foram 11 meses utilizando de forma continua.
🌸Sim, inchei, ganhei peso, meu apetite aumentou, tive giba, equimoses, dentre outros efeitos colaterais!
🌸Só que o corticoide salva vidas ! Ele é necessário!
🌸Depois de tanto tempo, desmamei do corticoide!
🌸Hoje, olhando para trás percebo que ter medo desse ‘’vilão’’ apenas aumentou meus níveis de ansiedade, já que precisaria tomar de qualquer jeito!
🌸O medo só me atrapalhou e foi em vão, porque hoje, após o desmame, os temidos efeitos colaterais desapareceram, inclusive o inchaço e o ganho de peso.
🌸É temporário, é normal ter medo, mas posso dizer uma coisa: o medo foi o pior vilão e não o corticoide em si !
