We all have those days when we can’t be bothered to go to the gym but we still want to move our body but preferably in the comfort of our own home. That’s why with @metaquest 2 you can not only have an incredible workout but you can learn and develop new skills, try new hobbies like boxing and combat or even dancing! The first time I tried the boxing workout on FitXR on Meta Quest 2 I was blown away by how incredible it was as an effective workout. I was knackered after 5 minutes of it 🤣 it’s a great way to not only move your body, gain the benefits of exercise but also build the confident in learning new skills in the comfort of your own home 🙏🏼 I love learning new ways to move my body and when it’s such an enjoyable and fun way to exercise, it makes motivating yourself that much easier 💪🏼 #metaquest2 #FitXR #boxing #combat

But I’m STILL moving! When my back broke in 2021, it was one of the greatest physical AND MENTAL challenges of my life. Not being able to exercise for months anywhere near the level I wanted was practically depressing. Heck, there were weeks I could hardly walk let alone TRAIN like I wanted. It’s also WHY 2-years ago you saw A LOT of #ARMFARM exercises. Haha. It’s about the only thing I could do. When you are down & out, FIND a WAY to move. Do something. There were months I dreamt of being able to walk around the block with the “Jersey Dog” again. There were months I dreamt of lying supine on a bench and doing barbell bench press again. There were months I dreamt of lying prone and doing ANYTHING again. One of the things that was HUGE for me was finding BFR Bands. Thank you @kksmagik. They literally changed the way I trained starting in late 2021. I used them for about 6-months before I said anything to anyone about them. They were in so many ways a LIFE-SAVER to me. I was all of a sudden able to start doing some “simple” moves again with just bodyweight or really light weight but get the hormonal release where I felt like I just lifted the house again. It was a mental euphoria that I had NOT felt in a long time..and I needed it. Nowadays, and moving PAIN-FREE, I STILL use my @b3sciences BFR Bands 3-4x per week. I also travel with them and use them when I’m on the road. Most recently, I took them to Costa Rica and got in a killer BFR & BOXING Workout. I’ve been able to come a long way physically in 2-years. And I’m extremely grateful for my health NOW more than ever. BFR was a key in keeping me feeling ALIVE at a time when I struggled immensely to get the work in I needed. Now, it’s part of my regular arsenal. P.S. If you would like to JOIN ME TONIGHT, I’m doing a free BFR workout (No breakdancing though ) at 6 pm PST/9pm EST. It will only be about 20-minutes long and then I will hang and answer questions on BFR, Mindset & Injury, and developing resilience when you must overcome adversity… You do NOT have to workout to join me and you do NOT need to have BFR Bands either.
