Let’s learn to make bread. Starting with sandwich bread. Recipe: @britt.kubicki RECIPE 3 cups all purpose flour 1.5 tsp Instant yeast 1.5 tsp salt 1.5 tsp sweetener (honey, maple syrup or sugar) 1.5 cups water Add all to a bowl and mix (it’s going to be a wet, tacky dough) Cover and let sit for 2 hours After 2 hours take 2 forks and pull from edges and fold into the center of the dough. It will still be sticky. Do this a few times. It will form a wiggly ball of dough Add a small amount of olive oil for handling. Roll into a cylinder-ish shape. And add to a creased bread pan Let it rise to top of pan or over. Should take about an hour. Bake 375 for 45 minutes #breadtok #Foodie #foodtiktok #EasyRecipe

Crusty White Loaf 🍞⬇️ (RECIPE) Ingredients: - 500g bread flour (or plain) - 350g warm water - 10g salty salty flavours - 7g instant yeast 1. Mix all your ingredients into a shaggy dough 2. Tip out on a floured work surface and knead for 5-10 mins until smooth 3. Oil up a bowl and add the dough, cover and leave for 90 mins to double in size 4. Tip it out and push out all the air and shape into a flat rectangle 5. Now pull in the corners and tuck the dough in on itself until you have a sausage shape 6. Now add to a loaf tin or pan with flour and cover for 30 mins to double in size 7. Grab a big knife or blade and score down the middle 8. Add to your oven anything over 200 degrees C for 30 mins with a pan of warm water on the bottom shelf to help the crust 9. Take it out, remove from the tin and add back for 5 mins 10. Take it out, leave to cool for half hour and enjoy!!! #homemadebread #breadrecipe #bread #breadtok #breadfromscratch

Let’s make Ciabatta! 🙌🍞 Sometimes the way bread recipes are written, with lots of technical words, can be off-putting for bread beginners, making it difficult for them to start a bread making journey. With this ciabatta recipe, I have tried to keep the idea of bread making as simple as possible by sharing basic and yet essential little techniques that will improve your bread making skills. The only challenge of this recipe is the hydration! It’s a wet dough! ☝️ Here are a few main tips and tricks for working with a high hydration dough: 👇 1 - If you are a beginner, use a large bowl to make the dough and knead the dough inside the bowl. There’s no need to put it on the work surface and make a mess. You’ll stress out and start adding lots of flour because it will be too hard to handle. When kneading, use one hand to hold the bowl and the other to knead the dough, keeping the hand holding the bowl always clean. 2 - Strengthen the gluten of the dough by giving the dough a few folds during the fermentation. The method I’m using in the video is called “coil fold technique” and is a type of strengthening action used to help develop gluten in the dough during the fermentation stage. By using this method you’ll notice that the dough will become more and more easy to handle without adding any extra flour! And remember, baking bread is a truly satisfying process and there’s nothing like the feeling of creating your own fresh loaf. So make sure you take things slow and enjoy the process! 🥖 so easy the recipe fits on a Post-it! + how I broke up with sourdough for good #sorrynotsorry Yes, an EASY BREAD recipe you can make on a whim (or between work calls😉) without having to babysit it -yes, I’m looking at you #sourdough I gave traditional sourdough a chance for over two years😩 I followed a few recipes, bought an ebook, and watched countless Youtube videos …and I still managed to kill a few starters and, more than often than not, ended up with dense or failed loaves🙁 You might think🤨: “Give it up already!” Right? Well, No🙅🏻‍♀️ My family LOVED that fresh bread- when it actually came out🤤❤️ Their praises and “thank yous” were the only things that kept me trying again (and again😉) Inside, I felt like a FAILURE🥲 So after two years… it was time to break up 💔 6️⃣ months later, I was ready for a new relationship… with this ✨EASY✨ 4-ingredient bread that’s a sure thing and will always make you feel good about yourself. The recipe: • 3 cups flour, more for kneading 😉 • 2 teaspoons 🧂 • 2 teaspoons instant yeast • 1 1/2 cups warm (not hot) 💦 Preheat 450°F (230°C). Bake covered 30 minutes + bake 15 minutes uncovered. Throwback to when I used to waste flour. When I first started, I fed my starter 50g starter + 50g water + 50g flour every single day… even when I wasn’t baking. That means: 👉 50g flour × 30 days = 1,500g of flour (3.3 lbs) a month 👉 About $6–$7 per month, or $80+ a year — literally thrown away as discard 😬 Here’s the fix: You can maintain your starter with as little as 1g of starter, feeding 1g water + 1g flour daily. That’s only 1g of flour per day → 30g a month (less than 2 tablespoons!). Your starter stays healthy and active, no fridge needed — and you save your flour for baking, not feeding. #SourdoughTips #SourdoughStarter #SourdoughBeginner #BreadTok
