JESudoku capsule Part 2…why in this order?

✨ How I approach the Sudoku or 3x3x3 capsule wardrobe method for traveling light:
👟 Start with the shoes. Now this doesn’t apply to all types of trips (ie beach resort), but is KEY for sightseeing trips!
For lots of walking, supportive sneakers are a must. But sneakers can be tricky since they don’t always look good with street clothes, and vice versa. I’d start by choosing a tried & true, low-profile sneaker in either white leather, neutral suede, or your signature pop of color.
Once you have a good “anchor” sneaker nailed down, the other shoes are more flexible, and can be updated as you complete the puzzle.
👖 Add 3 bottoms that work with those shoes. This means pants that are the right length with flats, and skirts that actually look good with sneakers.
🧥 Add 3 layering pieces, which can range from jackets to sweaters to lightweight linen shirts and wraps for summer. If you don’t need this many layers, you can replace one with a dress.
👚 Tops are last but should still be carefully considered. I picked elevated staple tops that layer well under pieces, but still have enough shape to look good worn on their own.
💫 Silk & cotton scarves are an easy way to add print and patterns to your outfits without taking up much space. Tie them around your neck, waist, shoulders, or as an accent on your purse - so many possibilities!
