Released in 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟕, the Amiga 500 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 in bedrooms, studios, and underground scenes at a moment when most home computers still thought in beeps and blocky pixels.
Powered by 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 with names that sounded like a synth lineup — Agnus, Denise, Paula — it delivered something 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 for the time: 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, rich color graphics, smooth animation, and 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 sound on hardware 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 could actually 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝.
Graphically, the Amiga 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞. While rivals struggled with 8 or 16 colors, the Amiga pushed 𝟒𝟎𝟗𝟔 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫, hardware sprites, blitter-accelerated graphics, and 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 that made arcade cabinets nervous.

#Piattaforma: Amiga 500
Benvenuti a Mêlée Island™, dove i pirati bevono grog e le risposte sbagliate sono spesso le più giuste. The Secret of Monkey Island su Amiga 500 non era solo un gioco: era un romanzo interattivo, un’avventura grafica piena di ironia, mistero e momenti indimenticabili.
La conversione Amiga occupava ben 4 floppy, e ogni cambio disco era un rito. Ma ne valeva la pena. Su monitor CRT collegato via SCART, i fondali dipinti a mano prendevano vita con colori delicati e atmosfere notturne mozzafiato. Guybrush Threepwood non era un eroe, ma voleva diventarlo… e in quell’epoca, lo diventava per tutti noi.
Dialoghi brillanti, enigmi geniali e una colonna sonora memorabile in versione modulata, con il chip Paula a fare miracoli. Un’esperienza immersiva, vissuta con il fiato corto e il joystick pronto sulla porta 2, in un silenzio rotto solo dai click e dalle risate.
Un capolavoro che ha insegnato che l’umorismo è arte videoludica.
